Violet was honestly finding college alot better than she expected. She is actually doing something she thoroughly enjoys, and she gets to do it for the rest of her life. She was always interested in fashion, she would always make clothes for her barbie dolls out of her old dresses, mixing and matching, seeing what went with what. She obviously got in trouble with her mother for it, as they were the dresses her eighty-something year old, partially deaf grandmother had made.
Violet thought they were horrid and old fashioned, everyone knew it, even her parents knew. She only wore those 3 horrid dresses on special occasions, which was only about 3 times a year, christmas, easter and her birthday.
She had actually made a friend too. She was finally going to have a gay best friend, although he isnt a guy. Meet Stephanie Underwood, or just steph as she preferred to be called. You would all think the typical lesbian to be awful tomboyish, wrong.
Steph was a real girly girl. Long golden locks, bright blue eyes, cute oufits, an amazing figure, she would basically have guys crawling on their knees for her, but they will definitely dissapointed because she plays for the other team.
When Violet first met Steph she was surprised to say the least, a real barbie girl was talking to her. She thought the only reason why she was talking to her was because they sat next to each other in one of their lectures. She was even more shocked when she realised just how lovely she was, and not some stuck up bitch.
So after that class, they sat beside each other in the next class and then it was lunch. Following their new found friendship they went to lunch in the local sandwich bar down the street, making conversations on 'Cara Delevigne's new clothing line' and the wobbly eyeliner one of their lecturers was wearing.
When they finally got seated and were in a comfortable conversation, Violet nearly choked on her ham and cheese toastie.
"You're a lesbian?!" Violet shouted alot louder than she anticipated, getting a weird look from an old lady sat across from them reading a newspaper.
"Shhh! And yes I am a lesbian and proud. Oh and dont worry I dont fancy you," Steph lightly chuckled to herself as she saw Violet breathe out a sigh of relief.
"Good, for a second there I thought I would have to awkwardly tell you that I dont feel the same way. And wow you dont-" Violet explained but was cut off by Steph.
"I dont look like a lesbian?" Steph raised her eyebrows skeptically, already knowing Violet's answer.
"Well yeah... So how did your family and friends take it?" Violet said trying to change the conversation so it wouldn't become awkward.
"I think my friends knew because they caught be about 3 times making out with a girl at parties. As for my parents, they had their suspicions as I never had a boyfriend," Steph responds, sipping her mocha contently.
"Oh so they were supportive of you?" Violet ponders on.
"They obviously didnt like it, and I was never close to my parents, as they are divourced, but I still love them and they love me, I hope, so yeah." Steph answers, 100% comfortable with telling a girl she has just met her life story.
-----
After lunch it was back to college for one more class, which was even better as they nearly had the same classes as each other. Then home sweet home, which Violet realised that she lived only 10 minutes away from Steph.
When Violet got into the reception of her apartment building she was surprised to see a very anxious Luke, waiting beside the newly fixed elevator, with his usual attire, black skinny jeans and some band t-shirt. Although his hair is blonde now.
"Cal told me that you finish college at 4 on a Thursday" Luke said casually walking up to Violet, but you can clearly see the nervousness in his voice, Violet didnt seem to notice.
And thats another thing, Violet and Calum have been getting friendly but not in that way. Calum has a girlfriend, Lynn, who he works with at starbucks.
Lynn has served Violet at starbucks lots of times and she really was pretty and abit small, which Violet found the height difference between her and Calum absolutely adorable! Lynn had amazing long red hair and hazel eyes which Calum obviously fell for.
"Why were you waiting for me barbie?" Violet smirked, pressing the button for the elevator, leaning against the wall to look over at Luke.
"Maybe, and hey I'm naturally blonde, I'm pretty sure barbie wasnt. AND I like your stud better than your nose ring, it makes your nose look cute" Luke replied smiling softly at the now blushing girl in front of him.
"Thanks Luke, I like your hair way better blonde aswel," her brown eyes glimmering.
Luke bit his lipring and scratched the back of his neck wondering how on earth was he gonna ask her out. Sure he's stolen many girls hearts, but Violet was just special, yeah he wanted to do her badly, but he wanted to be there the next morning when she woke up and not sprinting out the door.
"Listen, I've meaning to ask you something, I think we got off on the wrong foot and I really want to get to know you. I dont know what it is but I feel like I've met you before..." Luke let the last piece of his sentence trail as they entered the elevator, pressing the button to take them to their floor.
"Actually I feel the exact same way. Maybe when we were like 10 we met at a park or something, or in a nightclub you spilt a drink on me, maybe thats why you look familar." Violet pondered to noone in particular.
"Maybe.." Luke dropped the subject and moved onto the next subject.
"I was wondering if you were busy on Saturday night? That maybe you would go out with me"
Violet thought that her lungs had stopped bringing oxygen to heart as she was in awe. He waited for her to finish college to ask her out on date, which she found adorable.
"I would love to, Luke," she gazed up at him, with a cheesy smile, both of them showing off their dimples.
