Jack looked at the entrance to the bedroom once more to see if Amyra had waken up before pulling out another dresser drawer in her bedroom.
He raised his eyes at the journal filled drawer and flipped through the first couple pages to see that they were empty journals. Boring. Grunting, he moved to the next drawer.
Jack didn't know what he was looking for, but his curiosity got the best of him to start this journey. Moving on to the next drawer, his eyes widen at all of the book titles.
"No wonder she's having raunchy dreams, the girl reads everything porn," Jack mumbles.
Reaching into the drawer, Jack gasps as he saw a book he knows Amyra shouldn't be reading. Cackling as he grabbed the book, flipping to page 36, Jack began to make his way to the living room.
Amyra caught sight of him and opened her mouth to ask about his disappearance. Only a gasp escaped her as she saw her current read in his hands. Was he snooping?
"It's crazy how someone's heart can be attached to someone just by having sex, paid or not. Everyone always think it's just an physical activity, but every time you have sexual intercourse you're giving that person a piece of you. A piece of your mind," Jack reads out the book.
"Jack!" Amyra yells.
Jack laughs at the woman in front of him. Her hair frazzled with a frowning face and angry eyes. He couldn't help the amusement that showed on his face as Amyra was as cute as a lion cub.
Amyra huffed, climbing off the couch and snatched her belonging away from Jack. Rolling her eyes at his snickering face.
Marching away from him, Amyra stepped into her room to see all of her dresser drawers open. Why is he so immature?
"Do you want breakfast?" Jack asks as he pops his head through the door.
Amyra glared at him as she closed up all of her drawers.
"Y'know, when someone invites you into their home you don't go snooping through their things when their asleep," Amyra grumbles.
"I had to find some way to entertain myself, and besides, you can go through my things on our next slumber party," Jack jokes.
Men can never take anything seriously. Stepping away from her drawer, Amyra turned to her laptop that was resting on the desk.
Opening it up, she began to check her email.
"So, you're going to ignore me?" Jack asks.
"Order breakfast or whatever, you owe me anyway," Amyra annoyingly tells him.
Her eyes grazing over the unread messages in her inbox. Checking the time, her heart dropped. It was two in the evening.
"Jack!" Amyra yells as she jumps out of her chair and ran to the closet for a quick outfit.
"What?" He yells back.
"Why didn't you tell me the time, I'm late!" Amyra says as he pulls on a dress and flats.
Jack rushed into the room with a shocked face. He didn't know Amyra actually left for work. He thought she worked from home.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know — I'll take you to work."
Jack ran out of the apartment to his to quickly get dressed and grab his keys. He couldn't let Amyra be late on account of him and his problems.
Amyra pulled on her cardigan with a huff as she tried to find her door key. Rushing wasn't her forte and Amyra made sure to leave herself enough time to do everything she needed.
