Amyra stood in the back with a worried cast. She was worried herself because she hasn't seen Jack the entire night. Not after he left to the bathroom. Plus, the cast hasn't seen one of their dancers all night either. They had to perform without her and apparently this is unlike her.
"Have you called him? Maybe they're together?" One of the members asks Amyra.
"I've tried him a hundred times and he's not answering."
Amyra pinch the bridge of her nose as she began pacing the stage. If Jack is with that dancer this could ruin her entire reputation and cost Amyra her job.
"Our second show is beginning, we can't sit back here waiting for them," another member announces.
Amyra growls as she grabbed her phone tried Jack's phone again. The rings were to familiar and she was seconds away from just cowering into a dark spot and scream into the void.
"Hello?" He groggily answers.
"Where the hell are you? You've missed the show and you got me backstage angry and, and... is somebody else breathing in the background?" Amyra asks.
Amyra was met with silence as she could hear their breaths mixing together. He was with her. Amyra could fill the anger boil inside of her as she hangs up her phone and makes her way out of the building through the back exit.
She was white hot and her mind was going over every way to murder Jack and get away with it. She should stab him, get a needle and push air into his veins. Maybe she should make it as bloody as possible and smear it everywhere. From his apartment building to the next city.
An ache in her chest caused her to bite the inside of her cheek. How could Jack do this to her? She brought him to her job and he ran off with one of the dancers. That looks unprofessional on her part and if Michael hears about this, she could kiss her job goodbye. All because Jack can't keep his junk in the trunk.
Amyra lets out a frustrated squeal as she angrily wiped away her tears. Forcing a laugh to escape her throat, and he had the nerve to try and get to know her. Pretending that he cared. If he cared he wouldn't ruin her like this.
The sound of thunder began to make itself known and Amyra stops to look up as the harsh rain began pouring down. She let out an ironic laugh and put her hand out into the rain. Leave it to nature to match her emotions.
Turning her face towards the cold rain. None of the consequences running through her mind as Amyra calmed down. Or did her best too. She shouldn't be stressing so hard over this anyway. He's not worth it.
A car shoots past her and Amyra watches with wild eyes at it skids to a stop. As it reverse, Amyra stood still as it pulls in front of her and Jack climbs out. Just like that, her anger tumbled through her veins again. The thunder sounds as Jack comes up to her.
"What is wrong with you, Jack?" Amyra hissed.
"Look, let's not do this right now. Get in the car and we'll talk about it when we get home," Jack persuades.
Amyra rolls her eyes as she pushes past him. Who does he think he is to come and direct her after ruining her day. Possibly her whole career.
"I'm not going anywhere with you, I'll get home my own way," Amyra argues.
"Hey!" Jack grabs her arm and pulls Amyra back. "This isn't a debate, get in the car."
"Let go of me you pig. Y'know, I don't get why Fuck Boys play games with girls who aren't even interested. You're a mess and —"
"Shut up!" Jack roars causing lightning to strike right after. "I'm not playing games get in the fucking car before I make you."
"I'm not one of those raggedy-Anne's that climb in and out of your bed, Jack. You can't just yell at me and expect me to fall into submission. I am not yours and you are not mine. I don't even want to look you in the face right now. I'm not getting in that stupid car and that's that," Amyra screeches.
The two became silent as the tension fell heavy and the rain became heavier. They could see their breath leave their lips as they glared at each other. Jack took a step towards Amyra and grabbed her wrist cautiously.
"I'm sorry. This is all my fault and I should learn to keep my urges under control especially when I was invited to something. I am sorry, but I do not want you to get sick and I do not want you to keep this up. This anger isn't healthy," Jack whispers.
"I have a right to be angry at you, Jack. You put my job at risk and I'm really regretting even letting you in," Amyra tells him.
"Don't worry about any of that, I swear I'll fix all of it." Jack pulls her into a hug and Amyra lays her head on his wet shirt.
"How?" She sniffs.
Jack shushed her and kept her close. He didn't want to lose the one friend he was beginning to trust. The thought of being alone again was a nightmare he didn't want to live out.
Jack helped Amyra in the car before he climbed in himself and the two made their way home with the heater on, in silence.
The second Amyra stepped into her apartment, she slammed the door closed and locked it. Keeping Jack away.
She was still angry with him, but, most importantly, she just wanted to be by herself. Give her more time to forgive him and more time for her to comply with the events.
Amyra made her way into the bathroom and shed her clothes and grabbed her natural hair care products and took a shower while also washing her hair.
Jack stood in his shower with dread in his every move. He doesn't know what's going on in her head and even though he apologized, Amyra slamming the door in his face meant to him that she hasn't forgiven him just yet.
That was enough to bring tears to his eyes. Maybe he should go to those sex addict classes his father tried to force him to attend. If it's going to continue to affect Amyra and his relationship. Well, friendship.
Jack was never known for relationships and never had one in his lifetime. Probably will never have one.
Drying off from his shower, Jack made his way to his room where he laid down on the bed. He let out a small snicker, let's see if she has a dream about him fucking an apology into her. That's usually how he apologizes, he's never said it physically until now.
Amyra must be special.
