The testing chamber looks suprisingly... normal. It appears to be a classroom, complete with desks and all. Simon seems suspicious. "This is a trap" he declares. "Obviously." I snap "My sister died in here. I know to be cautious." Simon's face softens with sympathy as he says "I lost my sister too. I understand how you feel." "Did you love her?" I ask. "Not as much as I should have. I lost her while she was still a baby." Simon says sadly.
"I'm sorry I lashed out at you earlier. Just... Being in here reminds me of Sam." "Uh... Alice?" He says nervously
"Sorry to end the heartfelt conversation, but aren't we supposed to be, well, tested?"As if on cue, the intercom announces a message in a robotic female voice. (Think GLaDOS) "Hello. Welcome to the test. Your first challenge will begin in one minute. Prepare yourselves." With that, the intercom clicks off. I can hear my heart pounding in fear. Simon is talking to himself "Rescorces. What do we have that can be used as protection?" Simon and I came to a simultaneous realization."Chairs." we say in unison. Simon and I grab chairs and crouch behind some desks.
The door bangs open. An boy around our age walks in. He seems very stiff, almost like a robot. He says "Welcome to the first challenge" with a smirk.
A/N: Hey, guys. Hope you liked this chapter. One question- Do you think I should add romance, or would that make this too similar to the hunger games? Any suggestions? Requests? Thanks for reading!
