Chapter 15

No One P.O.V
After coming back from getting food the twins and Roman walk back into the clubhouse. They walk to Brian. "When do you wanna start hitting the streets?" Tierra asks as Kayla is still eating French fries. "We can start tomorrow, Mia is on her way back with jack and that way you two can talk to your connections. Then tomorrow we can work on our cars and get ready to race." Brian says. Kayla looks up and smirks at Brian. "Are we gonna need to help you out you been driving the mini van for a while. Wouldn't want you putting on turn signals during the race." She says as we chuckle. Brian shakes his head and walks away with Roman smiling. The girls go out to the garage and get ready for work. Kayla walks over to a car and reads the paper to see what's wrong with the car then gets to work like the other guys. Jax is watching Kayla work on the car when Opie walks up to him patting him on the shoulder. "Jax you must really like this one cuz I've never seen you admire a girl." Opie says laughing. Jax looks at Opie "Man let me tell you like ain't even the word anymore. It's weird she got shot and I was so worried even though it was just a hit to the shoulder and I knew she'd be ok I was still worried. I ain't never felt anything like that before not even with Tara." Opie looks at Jax in surprise. "Dude me and you both know how you were with Tara and you're telling me Kayla is making you feel more than you did with Tara? Sounds like your falling in love with her to me." Just then Chibs and Tig walk up to them and join the conversation. "Whose Jax in love with?" Tig asks handing them a beer. "He's falling in love with Kayla." Opie says opening his beer. "Jackie boy is pull out the L word this must be serious." Chibs says patting Jax on the back. Dom and Brian walk over the guys to get a beer. "Just the people I was gonna call over." Tig says to them. "Why what's up?" Brian asks as he hands a beer to Dom. "Our boy Jackie needs words of encouragement so he can tell your very own Kayla he's in love with her." "Thanks Tig you wanna tell the whole clubhouse?" Jax says. "You know the twins are like sisters to us and I've seen Kayla in a couple of relationships with guys and girls but I've never seen her act the way she does with you." Dom says giving a small smile. "Yeah my best advice is to just tell her. She doesn't like when beat around the bush when trying to tell her something." Jax was getting ready to reply when he hears Tierra yell Kayla's name. The guys turn their heads towards them. Kayla speed walks past them as Tierra jogs to try and stop her sister from leaving. "Kayla wait where are you going?!" Tierra asks loudly. Kayla keeps walking gets on her car and drives off. Tierra turns back around with a hand on her head. "T what's going on?" Dom asks "One of our biological siblings called us just now saying that our mother is sick." Tierra tells them. "Why would that upset Kayla?" Brian asks. "You all know we used to live in France. Our mother gave birth to 18 children us being the youngest and our family was borderline poor. So to make more money our mother sold us to random guys as slaves for what is $300 here." Tierra says pausing to get herself together. "We became slaves at 14 we didn't know anything. We got beat all the time Kayla more than me. She'd always do something to take the attention off of me. When we were about 15 almost 16 a guy came in our room and told us that he could help us and get us out of that place. That's how we got into the gun running business. After we realized that our mother or siblings weren't coming for us she grew to hate them. She basically disowned them saying that if she ever saw them she'd probably beat them to death." Dom pulls Tierra into a hug. "Neither of you gotta worry you both got family and we ain't never gone do some shit like that to you. We love you as if you were our biological sisters."
TIME SKIP
By the time Kayla comes back it's dark out. She's in the garage working on different cars that were going to be picked up tomorrow. "You know you don't have to do that." Kayla looks up and sees Jax leaning on the door. He walks over to her as she slams the hood of the car shut and leans on it. "I know" She says staring at her feet. "Listen Tierra told us what happened and you don't have to go see her if you don't want to. You have a family us, the club, and your crew. We make up your family. This family loves you. Except for me cuz I'm in love with you." Jax says putting his hands on her hips looking into her eyes. "I never thought someone would tell me that. But I'm happy that it came from you." She says pulling him into a kiss. "Can we just go to your dorm and do whatever?" "Darlin we can do whatever you want." He says pulling her to the clubhouse by her hand.
