The ride to my house was full of soft music and me giving him directions, we drove further and further until we pulled into my small suburb, the houses only growing bigger as we got further down the street. My own home was at the very end of the road, towering over all the others monumentally. I'd gotten it for myself as a 22nd birthday after I'd finally developed a steady client base.

"Damn Letta nice crib." He exclaims as the gates open for him to drive through.

"Yeah, it's pretty nice, bit too big though. Younger me just assumed bigger was better I guess." He turned to me slightly, a grin on his face.

"Humble." He mutters.

"Always," I reply teasingly. We'd gotten to the top of the driveway, parking the car directly out the front. I looked from the front door to him debating whether or not I should let him in. I mean we have to look over the contract anyway, plus it might make it a little less lonely. Fuck it. "Did you want to come in?" I ask as I open the car door.

"Don't wanna get rid of me?" He taunts me and I roll my eyes slightly.

"If that will make you feel good about yourself then yes." He chuckles, exiting the car as well to meet me at the front door. I began to unlock the door but before it clicked a thought flashed through my mind. "Wait, you aren't allergic to cats are you?" I question and he tilts his head slightly.

"Nah, Nah, Nah, we good." I nod, continuing to unlock the door, pushing it open to the foyer.

"Well come on in. Can I grab you a drink?" I offer, closing the door behind him. His eyes scanned the entranceway and I could tell that he is impressed.

"Shit darlin, how much did this set you back?"

"A couple million, it was my birthday gift to me," I reply casually. "Water okay?" I offer and he nods, following me to the large, open plan kitchen. I found two glasses, in the midst of filling them when I heard a commotion behind me.

"Holy shit- oh hey little guy." I turned to see Rio bent down to pat an affectionate Hiccup who only continued to meow for his attention.

"Rio this is Hiccup." I place the glasses on the bench, moving to pick up the feline. "And Hiccup." I shower him in kisses. "This is Rio." To my surprise, Rio held his arms out to take Hiccup and to my absolute shock, Hiccup let him, even purring when Rio patted behind his ear.

"This thing's mad fluffy." He states continuing to pat him.

"I know, isn't he adorable?" I lean in close to continue putting little kisses on Hiccup's head. "He's my whole world. Aren't you Hiccup? Yes, you are!" I pull away from him to see a large grin taking over his face, his eyes softening more than I'd ever seen them.

"You're adorable." He ruffles my hair slightly and my jaw drops.

"Hey! Don't be mean!" He places Hiccup on the floor and gripping my hips instead, pulling me forward.

"I can't help it, sweetheart." His hands now reach my waist. "I'm always mean." I glanced up at him and pout, slowly pulling his head down so that our lips met.

"Anyways, we have a contract to look over." I pull away, leading him into the dining room so we could look it over comfortably. "You should feel very honoured right now," I state over my shoulder as I clear some decorations from the table's centre.

"Oh yeah? And why's that?" We settle into chairs opposite each other.

"No one from the office has ever been invited here." He looks surprised and slightly pleased at the statement.

"Is that right?" I nod matter-of-factly. "Well good thing I'm way more than a guy from the office then huh?"

"Yes, you're also the gang leader that threatened my family and insisted on merging companies," I say, my bluntness ringing through.
