Cheshire

Vio and green walked into science class. They had the desks in the middle the experiment tables to the side

As the two sat down next to each other Vio scanned the room. Green was talking about something but they both knew Vio wasn't listening.

Vio couldn't help but noticed the same scrappy kid sitting alone with s grouchy tough guy look on his face. He didn't look like someone who wanted to have a science buddy as he sat impatiently at the table tapping his fingers.

The boy had a much different vibe then when he bumped into him. He scurried away like a puppy with its tail tucked in but now he looked ready to fight anyone that dared to sit next to him.

"What cha' looken' at?" Green asked right in his ear causing Vio to jump staring at green in anger as he laughed. Vio had sensitive ears and he hated when people whispered in them. "Relax Vio" green pat his back as the younger brother straighten himself up.

"A-Anyways, to answer your question, I'm looking at him" he pointed to the purple haired boy.

"Is it because his hair matched your name?" Green chuckled with a cheeky grin

"No I just bumped into him earlier." Vio said with a shrug

Green was tempted to go into mother mode but the teacher walked in. "Tell me if he gives you trouble" Vio only nodded looking at the teacher.

Class went on normal but Vio couldn't get that purple haired punk out of his head And he soon realised why.

The boy would hiss in pain rubbing his back. It was a strange habit that no one else seemed to pick up in as they made notes on the topics they were going to cover this semester.

It was around the end of class when he saw it the boy yawned stretching his arms up as his shirt lifted a little

Vio couldn't help but stare at what looked like the start of a nasty bruise. Vio sucked in a breath looking down at his book as he wrote

'What did that mean?
Was he abused? His clothes show that he isn't very cared for as they were old and thin.

No no violet your rushing to conclusions he could of fallen or gotten into a fight.'

Vio was sweating fingers tapping he couldn't sit still. Green was quick to pick up whispering
"Vio you Alright?" Vio nodded looking at green though his eyes looked pained as he couldn't speak up on what he saw right now. He started shifting his eyes. First the book then the clock, then his book again, back to the purple haired boy then green.

He gulped as his brother rubbed his back he started breathing trying to slow his thinking and calm himself. He needed to distract himself till he was alone.

'Step at a time, step at a time, I need a name fore him...' Vio stares at the boys hair and dark skin he smiled thinking back on an old movie Cheshire after the cat from Alice in wonderland. A mystery.

As the bell run the siblings packed up there stuff as 'Cheshire' zipped out of the class in seconds

"Seriously what's gonna Into you? You looked like you had been stabbed by a ghost." Green asked looking worried packing Vio's stuff as the boy was zoned out

Vio snapped out of it taking his bag putting things away "nothing really I just started overthinking something in a train of thought that's all really green."

The brother looked unconvinced but dropped it patting his little brothers back. "I'll get it out of you eventually" he said proudly. "Anyways I'm heading to PE you?"

Vio walked greens arm on him "geography" green nodded and they soon part ways

Vio sat in that class next to some random girl who wouldn't stop staring at him as they took notes and talked about what they already knew about the topic he kept thinking of that kid and how he could talk to him what he was like.

The period went by in a flash and soon it was lunch. Vio sat beside zelda at there little table everything normal till red finally caught up with a pitiful little frown as he sat next to zelda.

"Aw Red what's wrong?" She cooed like the mother hen she was pulling the boy into her chest.

Red sighed "just a mean kid in maths..." Red wasn't the best with maths he was a creative kid so maths never really clicked to him.

"What did he do?" Zelda asked stroking the boys curly hair as he hugged her tight and let out another sigh

"Called me stupid or dumb when I. Said I didn't get it" it wasn't that bad but red was sensitive to things like that, they eat at him greatly.

"What was his name?" Green asked leaning over the table as blue grinned the two had different ways of dealing with problems like this.

Red only shrugged "didn't ask. But he had purple hair..." he whimpered out resting on zelda as Vio opened his bag getting his lunch out for him to nibble on while he sulked

All Vio could do what note 'Cheshire has a bad mouth' he didn't want to assume what was going on in that boys life as blue grinned nodding

"I know the guy I'll give him a friendly reminder not to mess with my baby brother" he said clenching his fist they knew what was gonna happen.

As the day went on Vio kept passing by Cheshire who didn't even look at him it stung a little but he tried to shrug it off he wasn't much of a stand out anyways.

By the time school came to a close the four got onto their bus sitting in their spots but green sat next to red zelda in front of themas they talked.

As they drive around they had to pass though the 'dark part of town' Vio and his brothers were never allowed to visit their as kids turns out it was home to lots of drug adicts and old people. Because of this the city council never repaired anything in the area. The road was littered with cracks and was uneven. Gutters crumbles and ruined at broken glass sparked on the side of the road.

Normally this wouldn't be as much of problem if the place was just homes to drug Addicts and old people. But it wasn't. Kids of all age littered the streets skinny and alive their families probably didn't have much money to by them many electricians so they played on the steer and at a broken playgrounds. They seemed happy with what little they had... it was strange.

"Hey dad?" Vio spoke up as he heard his father passing by his door. The steps stopped a moment before poking his head in "what's wrong violet?" He asked looked at Vio's semi sad/ worried face. His father invited himself in sitting beside him

"You understand politics. How come 'that' part of the city never gets repaired?' Vio. Asked looking down at his hand that held his science book.

His father let out a sigh "Well that side of town is know to be greedy. You do one nice thing and they start expecting more, and more. Like were made of money. Besides from what I heard they plan on making the town a private high school"

Vio turned up his nose at the thought but nodded the kids may be happy but the adults were horrible. That made sense. Vio lightly nodded his head as his father rubbed his head

"No late night sleep tonight" his father ordered playfulness in his tone

Vio only smiled nodding. He wasn't really that close with his father. He loved the guy, dont get the wrong idea. But living with loud siblings he was always drowned out. So he never really knew what to do in these 1 in 1 chats.

His father walked out closing Vio's door how he liked it. Vio sighed laying back on his bed. It was around 9 and he was ready to crash from his late nights. Staring up at the glow stars on his roof that were arranged in constellations

"I wish I knew what happen to him... I want to understand him"  Vio sighed as he took off his singlet so he was in. it was thin but short and laid down falling asleep.

You never know how blissful sleep is till you pass out on your own bed.
