Long ago in ancient Greece, lived the royal family of Athens. The king, Theseus. His wife, Hippolyta. And their daughter, Alexandra. On the outside, they looked like the perfect family. A rich and powerful father, an equally as powerful mother, and an obedient daughter. King Theseus was known for many accomplishments, as well as his wife who was once the Queen of the Amazons. Their daughter was known for being one of the most beautiful women in all of Greece. She was young, sweet, obedient and calm. At least, that's what people outside of the palace walls had thought. In reality, Alexandra was vibrant, rebellious, and had a calling for adventure. She was a disgrace, for it wasn't acceptable for a woman to act in such ways. Her father and everyone in the palace had disapproved of her, all except her mother. Queen Hippolyta was once just like Alexandra, that was before she was taken by Theseus and was forced to marry. Hippolyta was reminded of her younger days whenever she looked at her daughter. It was a shame that no one had thought of Alexandra in the same way. According to everyone Alexandra was mad, selfish, and not at all lady-like. Especially to her father. King Theseus, although very open about many things, quite frankly hated his daughter for taking after her mother's spontaneity. He would always disregard her and pretended she didn't exist. In the beginning, Alexandra had not cared what her father, or anyone else in that matter, had thought of her. The less people who were watching her, the more free time she had to explore.

But soon it grew tiresome, Alexandra had done and gone everywhere in Athens. She began to grow restless and longed for something that lied beyond the borders of the city. She wanted to leave the boring life that she had as a princess, she wanted adventure, she wanted to become an Amazon. Alexandra had confronted her mother when she found her alone. She explained how she felt and what she desired to do. After hours and hours of talking with no response, her mother finally spoke. The Queen has said that she approved of Alexandra's request and encouraged her daughter to become the warrior that she had wanted to be. However, Queen Hippolyta warned that her marriage with Theseus had left an unforgiving grudge between her and the Amazons. They would not accept Alexandra with open arms, for the grudge will be passed down to her. It would not be easy, but Alexandra's excitement had dismissed the warning her mother had given and quickly accepted her fate. Before Alexandra left, her mother whispered to her encouragingly, "Show them how strong you are, make me proud." With her mother's blessing, Alexandra had bade her farewell, for it would be the last time she would have ever seen her in years, and began her journey. Alexandra was told that the land of the Amazons was found in Lycia, and she needed to somehow find a ship that would be able to take her. She went down to the docks and found a cargo ship heading to Turkey. Alexandra then stowed away in the cargo hold below the deck and hid behind the items. She quickly dashed away once she reached land, she had stolen some food and took her journey north, towards Themiseyra, the area where the camp is located.

Alexandra marched through thick forests for days upon arriving to the camp. There, she was greeted with a rain of arrows falling upon her. Everywhere she turned there were arrows flying in her direction. Alexandra grabbed a stray arrow that had fell to the ground and ran to the nearest tree. Using her strength that she inherited from her parents, she quickly climbed it and hid in its branches. The arrows stopped once she reached a high enough branch. She sat there silently, waiting for the slightest movement to come from the ground. After a few minutes, the smallest movement, one that a snail would make, came from the ground. Alexandra quickly threw the arrow, like a small spear, with all her strength towards the movement. Sure enough, a woman had been shot. She fell out of her hiding spot with the arrow in her shoulder. Then, many women started pouring out of the shadows, weapons pointing towards Alexandra. These women wore armor made of the finest metal, and faces with a murderous expression. One that Alexandra had known far too well by looking at her mother. She had made it, the Land of the Amazons. Then a voice spoke up, beckoning for Alexandra to show herself, assuring that no harm would follow. Slowly, Alexandra began climbing down to the ground, arrows following her every move. Once at the ground, she found herself surrounded by tall, female, warriors. The ones she hoped she would be fighting alongside, someday.
