Once we are all done setting up the and Simon does his soundcheck he steps down from the stage towards Jace, Alec and I who were watching his performance. "That was fire Simon, see I knew you'd sound banging like you always do. Nothing to fear my musical maestro." I say patting him on the shoulder.
Alec has his hand in my other and pulls me away. "Now its your turn little songbird, I want to hear your song that you prepared." My eyes widen in shock, I forgot I'm supposed to open for Simon tonight.
Jace snaps me back. "Yeah none of us have heard of you sing before let's have a sneak peek."
I blush and think of an excuse. "I actually am saving my voice. Besides I want it to be a surprise for everyone. Hey Si, can you do me a favor and record me on my phone tonight?" I ask sweetly. I think Magnus back home would love to hear me speak or sing, I guess.
Alec hugs me close to him. "We will all be recording in case we never hear you voice again you sing in secret now your secret is coming out."
"Yeah, I'll record on your phone for you. But now that we are all set up, I need to go get ready. See you guys tonight." Simon says
Jace speaks up next. "Yeah I should get ready too I want to look good if I'm meeting Clary's father for the first time, I need to make a good impression."
I smile at him. "You'll be fine, Val is so chill." I say before I shoo him off.
Now its just Alec and I together in the fully decorated institute. Alec pulls out his phone and earphones. "One dance now? In case we don't get the opportunity to tonight." He asks. I laugh softly and place an earbud in my ear and warp my arms around him Resting my hands on his shoulders and my head on his chest
"I'll, always dace with you Alec, for, forever right?" I say looking into his hazel eyes deeply.
Alec kisses my lips gently "For forever, I'd travel to hell and back for you Theia. I love you."
"I love you too." I say before pulling him down and kiss him passionately this time showing every emotion, he brings out in me. When I pull away the sound end and Alec's phone rings.
Once he read the text, he looks at me and smiles. "You have a hair appointment in twenty minutes and then right after at the same salon a make up appointment. I know, I know you don't need all of that, but I wanted to do this for you so just go get pampered and get ready for the party. I'll see you later tonight." Alec kisses my forehead and then turns me around and taps my butt lightly sending me on my way.
I just left the salon and am now in my beautiful green and black lace dress with a burgundy lip to go with the burgundy rose heels. I touch the necklace that Alec left for me at the salon feeling his initials engraved onto the heart and smile. In my fishtail braid sits a rose gold metal rose headband with complementary leaf earrings. I quickly move over as many herbs as I cant that I brought with men into the burgundy clutch. This all feels to much for me I feel like I'm about to fall with how tall the shoes are, and I keep pulling the skirt down hoping it will magically get longer if I keep pulling down. I was about to head over to the institute but figured that Magnus might need help getting in the party and I just want to be close to him if I'm being honest with myself.
