There once was a giraffe, an E giraffe. Around the hood, he was known as EG, short for E giraffe.
One Sunday afternoon, EG was taking a stroll down the street when he spotted a girl. Once his eyes fell onto her, his heart started to beat like crazy and his whole being yearned for her. He could tell right away that this girl was the girl of his dreams. But EG didn't approach her because who would love a silly ol' E giraffe? Little did EG know that this girl was an E girl. But not just any E girl, she was an E girl who wanted to be his E girl. This E girl was named Jean, and Jean was set on making EG hers. She had had her eyes on EG for quite some time now, and she was almost ready to confess her true feelings.
The following Monday, EG was sitting in his first hour class, AP Euro, working on his book notes, when Ms. Loughman stopped the class for an announcement, "Class, we have a new student today." She gestured towards the door and a girl walked into the classroom, "Please introduce yourself to everyone." The new girl looked at her feet and turned her body towards the class. EG knew immediately who the new girl was, and he couldn't help but feel a blush creep up his face. When she lifted her face up to address the class, her eyes met EG's for a split second. EG couldn't describe the feeling he had when he looked at her. The way her bright, brown eyes sparkled when they met his made his heart skip a beat. He didn't know how he could survive this school year with her there to distract him.
"Hello, my name is Jean Joo, I'm new here." EG's palms started to sweat and his heartbeat raised when he heard her honey smooth voice move through his ear canals.
"Why don't you sit in the back next to EG. EG please raise your hand," Ms. Loughman instructed. EG felt the blush on his cheeks grow deeper as he raised his hand to let Jean know who he was. Contrary to his belief, Jean already knew who he was. Jean knew more about EG than anyone. She knew how he didn't like milk in his cereal, he liked orange juice. She knew how he liked to listen to music in public without earbuds in. She knew how he liked his toast burnt to a crisp. However, she would have to keep her attraction on the DL, at least for now.
The school day ended without anything exciting happening, except that EG had an eerie feeling that someone was watching him. On his walk home from school, EG couldn't help but feel like he was being followed. He turned around to try and catch his alleged follower, but he saw nothing. He turned and continued to walk home, increasing his pace with every step he took until he reached his front porch. He got out his keys, and entered his house quickly, remembering to lock the door behind him as he panted and slid down the door. "Calm down EG, you're probably just overreacting," he told himself so that he could calm down.
But EG was not overreacting. Hot on his tail was Jean. Throughout the day, Jean felt her eyes drift towards EG. Once school ended, she felt the urge to follow him home. Jean just couldn't leave EG alone. Once they arrived to EG's house, Jean stood outside his bedroom window until he fell asleep. Once he was fast asleep, Jean climbed through his window and approached his bed. She walked up to his bed side, and admired his flawless face until it was early morning. She decided it was time to go home and get ready for school the next day.
