Continuation of Last Chapter

I rush over to Lauren and wrap my arms around her. I'd known Lauren for years. She was part of our friend group. It was always Sam, Colby, Lauren, and I. We were always together no matter what. She ended up going to school in New York when we moved to a new house in LA. It was crazy that she was back.

"You didn't think I'd miss my niece's birth, did you?" She smiles at Colby and me. I shake my head.

"I wouldn't expect anything less of you." I hug her tightly again before we all end up inside the house. I decide it's about time to show everyone the nursery that Sam and Colby had been working on. I'd only seen it once and that was before the furniture was even in it.

I turn my head to Sam and Colby.

"You like it little sis?" Sam questions with a huge smile on his face.

"I love it boys." I smile at them before pulling the boys into a hug. "I don't know what I would do without you guys." I sigh.

"You'll never have to find out babe." Colby says as he presses a kiss to my forehead. I smile up at him. Lauren comes over to me and I notice she isn't holding Finley anymore. I see Devyn and Kat cooing at her as she sleeps peacefully in Corey's arms. I never would've thought that I'd be a mom so young. I mean, Colby and I had never even labeled our relationship. I guess it's time I figure that out.

"Laur, can you and the girls watch Finley? I need to talk to Colby." I say.

"Of course C. Take your time but no more babies. One is enough!" She laughs. I laugh with her before calling Colby over. I lead him into our bedroom before having him sit on our bed.

"What is it, my love?" He asks me. I heave a sigh.

"Colby, what are we? You haven't ever asked me to be your girlfriend or anything. We haven't been exclusive exactly." I look at him. He gives me a sad look as I mention us being exclusive. You see while I was about five months pregnant, Sam and Colby had to go to New York to film a few videos. Sam had taken a picture of Colby making out with some girl at a party.

I'll admit, it hurt a lot. I mean fuck, I was at home pregnant with his child.

"Baby, I'm sorry. Do we really need a label though? I love you and Finley. That's all that matters." He smiles at me. I shake my head in disbelief.

"Colby, I need to know that I'm more than a baby momma to you. You mean everything to me and I don't wanna lose you yet you're out here making out with girls left and right. Don't deny it and say it only happened once. I've seen the pictures and heard the stories." I glare daggers into his skull. He sighs at me.

"I'm sorry bubba okay? It's just, I was stressed so I was drinking at the parties. And stuff happened. I always regretted it in the end. I never went further than a kiss though. If you're so in need of a label, would you like to be my girlfriend?" I stared at him in disbelief.

"I don't know Colby. Just go out and see everyone. Send Lauren in here though." I told him. He nodded his head and walked outside. Minutes later, Lauren entered the room.

"Babes, you've been crying." I silently curse my bright red face.

"I can't do it Lauren. Colby hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend up until today and he made it seem like I was forcing it out of him. I want to be with him so badly but he seems to hate that idea. I'm just stressed. I don't want to be an object to him." I sigh as a few tears roll down my cheek.

"Crystal, I know that it's hard. Think about Finley. She needs to have her father in her life. It isn't like you two don't love each other. I've seen the hidden looks between the two of you. Just see what happens. This also just may be post-pregnancy hormones. Don't cut him out of your life. Play the long game babes. You won't regret it." she sends me a sympathetic smile. I wrap my arms around her tightly. 

"I missed you," I whisper in her ear as my arms practically choke her.   

"I missed you too hun." she hugs me back just as tight. It's crazy to think that my best friend, my brother's ex-girlfriend, is back with me. She means the damn world to me. I don't know how I functioned without her by my side.
