It'd been nine years since I'd met Colby. Hanging out with each other had become a daily thing. We'd hang out at either my house or somewhere that we could explore. Today we'd decided to go to Sam's seeing as Sam had invited us over. When we got to Sam's house, Kat rushed outside.
"Crystal!" she screams as she sees me. I smile and wave to her as I get out of my car. Colby quickly follows me before stopping to say hello to Kat. I walk into the house to have Sam pull me into his room. I look at him confusingly as we sit down on his bed.
"Crystal, we need to talk." he says seriously. I look into his eyes and realize that he isn't kidding.
"Okay, about what?" I speak cautiously. He looks at me and sighs.
"It's Colby. You can't fall for him Cry." he says. I laugh.
"Why not Sam? You can't tell me what to do." I laugh.
"Crystal, you can't date him. He wouldn't be good for you. He'll break your heart and I'll have to pick up the pieces. I don't want to have to choose between my best friend or my sister. I love you but, I don't think it's a good idea for you two to get involved." Sam explains. I let out a sigh of annoyance before leaving the room. I bump into Colby in the hallway.
"Kiss me." I murmur. I hear Sam open his door just as Colby and I lips touch. I hear a loud gasp from Kat as she walks into the hallway. Colby and I pull away. I kiss his cheek and walk off to my room with Kat following closely behind.
"What did I just witness?" she asks. I shrug my shoulders. She looks at me in disbelief. Colby and I kissed.
