*A/N: In this story The Ready Set is a full band (so the others help with song writing and stuff) but Jordan is the frontman and writes all the lyrics. Just works better with my story concept. Also this chapter is dedicated to imadangpanda because she inspired me to get back into writing fanfictions so go check out her TRS story*

"Wait!" I called following Travis down the stairs. "Aren't you at least going to introduce me?" I asked him, walking over to what Travis and I called 'the practice space' where all the instruments and recording equipment was kept.

"Oh yes of course," Travis rolled his eyes "Guys this is my sister Baily, Baily this is my band. There."

I sighed, "Come on, you know that's not what I meant."

"Fine," Travis gestured to a guy with short hair screwing around with some settings on an amp. "This is Mike our guitar player." He turned to a guy with blonde hair that was sticking up all over place "This is Deryck, he plays bass." Deryck nodded in my direction. "And that's Jordan, he does vocals."

I awkwardly waved at Jordan and he gave me an adorable grin. "Nice to meet you," he said. "I like your shirt."

I looked down again to see what I was wearing. "Oh thanks, yeah gotta love Third Eye Blind. 'Jumper' is a classic."

"Anyway," Travis said nudging me towards the stairs. "We gotta practice."

"Wait I wanna hear you guys play," I objected.

"No," Travis said sternly.

"Oh come on," Jordan laughed. "We have to start playing in front of somebody."

"Yeah," I pouted. "I just wanna see my big brother Travy play in his band," I cooed.

"Sure you do," he said under his breath.

"Oh why not," I begged.

"Dude lets just play what we've got," Deryck said.

Travis let out a defeated sigh, "Fine. We'll play our 3 songs and then you have to leave so we can write."

"Yay," I cheered wrapping Travis in a hug.

He didn't hug me back; instead he pushed me onto the couch, "Just sit here."

I watched as the boys set up their instruments, paying special attention to Jordan as he plugged in his microphone and fiddled with some knobs on the speakers in the corner of the room. God he was adorable. I turned away just as he looked at me; pretending to be really interested in what looked like Travis fixing his cymbals.

"What are we gonna play first?" Jordan asked, twirling his microphone around in his fingers.

"You pic, whatever you wanna sing first man," Mike shrugged.

"Let's start with 'Operator'," Jordan suggested.

The boys finished preparing their instruments and nodded to Travis who gave a "1...2...3....4" and started the beat.

"I miss you when you're gone, a heart without a home, just tell me it will be ok," Jordan began to sing.

It was all I could do not to let my jaw fall through the floor. Jordan could sing, and I mean really sing. I was hearing him without out any auto tune or anything and it was amazing. I was even more shocked that the song was actually good. I thought Travis had just joined this crappy little band but I was crazy about this song.

As the song came to a close Jordan smiled at me, "So what'd you think?"

"Play another one," I said quickly.

"Uh ok," he chuckled. "Let's do 'Hollywood Dream'." Travis counted everyone in again and Jordan sang, "She's a Hollywood dream, straight from an A list movie scene..."

I found myself dancing and singing along to the choruses as I slowly learned the words. When the song was over I couldn't help but clap. "Holy crap Travy you guys are really good."

"Thanks," he replied sheepishly. "You um wanna hear the last one?"

"Of course!" I cheered.

"Ok this one's called 'A Little More'," Jordan flashed me a smile and began to sing. I swear he had the voice of an angel. "Gotta try to give a little more love," he sang reaching the chorus. I could've sworn he was looking directly at me.

"That was just, wow," I said when they'd finished. "You guys are really good."

"Looks like we've got our first fan," Deryck giggled.

"Oh my god yes," I said.

Travis laughed, "Ok Baily, it's time for you to go upstairs. We've got writing to do, but you can fangirl over us during lunch."

"Fiinnnee," I sighed heading up the stairs. "But holy crap that was fantastic," I said one last time before closing the door.
