I stood in my bedroom staring at my reflection in the mirror, Jordan would be here soon. I had curled my hair, done my make-up and thanked God that Travis hadn't invited the rest of the guys over tonight. I didn't wanna have to deal with any more chanting. I couldn't decide if I felt more nervous, or excited as paced back in forth in my room, trying to pass the time until 7 o'clock.

When I came downstairs I found Travis sitting on the couch, staring at his phone. The TV wasn't even on, so I knew exactly what he was doing. He was as anxious for Jordan's arrival as I was. "Hey," I stepped into the living room. "Before he gets here, I just wanted to say thanks again, for you know, letting me go."

"Yeah sure," he said. "But if anything happens let me know because I will not hesitate to whoop his ass."

"Why are you so obsessed with whooping someones ass?" I asked rolling my eyes.

"It's just a dream of mine ok?" Travis laughed.

The doorbell rang, rescuing me from any more of Travis' overprotective conversations. I ran - as fast I could in the heels I was wearing anyway - to answer the door.

"Hey," Jordan smiled when I opened the door, my stomach giving birth to a million tiny butterflies. He awkwardly shifted his gaze to Travis who was hovering behind me. "You uh, you ready to go?"

"Yeah 1 sec, just let me grab my phone," I hurried back into the kitchen to grab my phone that was charging on the counter. When I returned to the front door I found Travis giving Jordan yet another speech.

"Look dude, all I'm gonna say is this. She's my sister and I just really care about her you know, so if I find out..."

"Really Travis?" I cut him off. "Come on Jordan let's go." I took his hand, pulling him to the door.

Travis resumed his lecture, "If I find out that you tried to pull anything, and I will find out..."

"Ugh Travy, come on," I whined, pulling Jordan further along.

"Bring her home by midnight," Travis said.

"Will do," Jordan called as I pulled him out the door.

"I am so sorry about that," I said when we were finally outside.

"It's fine, it's worth it," Jordan smiled. "You look nice."

"Thank you," I smiled. "So do you, I love the collar," I admired how cute he looked in his button up shirt. "So where are we going?" I asked.

"I still can't tell you," Jordan smirked, opening my door.

I thanked him, but stuck my tongue out as I got in the car. "Please," I pouted.

"Then it wouldn't be a surprise," Jordan smiled getting into the driver's seat.

I rolled my eyes as he pulled out of the driveway, "Fine."

We drove, listening to the radio and humming along to the songs we knew. "We're here," Jordan announced pulling into the parking lot.

I looked up and saw that we were at Matrix, this fancy Italian restaurant Travis and I found when we first moved here. "Oh my god, Jordan how'd you know that this is my favourite restaurant?" I asked.

"I have my sources," he said slyly. He walked around to the other side of the car and opened my door. I took his hand and followed him into the restaurant. "Reservations for Witzigreuter," Jordan said to the host.

"Right this way," he smiled. We followed him through the restaurant to an empty table in the back. "Enjoy," he said, setting down 2 menus.

We thanked him and took our seats. "Finally," Jordan sighed. "After the whole mess of this week, I finally get to take you to dinner."
