Isadora and Aiden were staying at an inn on the sea border of the island for almost a full day now, waiting for the ship, supposed to take them to the other side.

Aiden entered their room and closed the door lightly behind himself. Isa looked up from one of the books, that her brother had gotten when they left.

"Did you find out anything, brother?"-she asked, calmly.

He walked in and sat on the edge of the small bed.

"The ship is to arrive in an hour or so."-Aiden answered as he spread his body on the bed-"Read that book to me, will you?"

Isadora cleared out her throat and began reading from where she had stopped.

"...Alias Phoenix was kneeling in front of his god. The Lord of Light raised his finger up, pointing at the tall man that was kneeled in front of him. The God began talking in a welcoming, yet a manly, deep voice:

'My child, with this you'll no longer feel the pain when death comes to you, instead you'll wak-...'"

Isadora was interrupted by Aiden's soft snore. The boy was always a someone to fall asleep in seconds. She chuckled lightly, closed the book and picked up her shawl, placing it around her head.

She silently left the room and climbed down the stairs.

She was met with the familiar smell of ale. When the owner of the inn saw the girl he offered her a cup, which she gladly accepted. She sat on a bench in the corner of the room and downed the cup in one gulp.

She was staring at it's carved handle, thinking of home.

FLASHBACK

'Isadora was holding her wooden sword, looking at it's fretwork and was carefully examining it, as careful as a five year old could do.

At the end of the examination she had come to the conclusion that there were carvings all around the castle and that she wanted to find them all, so she got on her little feet and started making her way in.

Suddenly she was swept off the ground by two gentle, yet strong, arms.

"Where are you going, my sweet?"-her honey like voice spoke.

"In."-was the only response that little Isadora had for her mother.

"And why is that, dear?"-her mother cooed softly.

The girl squirmed out of Julia's hold, but captured her hand and started pulling her onward.

"Help me count some wooden stuff, mommy!"-Isadora said excitedly.

Julia chuckled lightly and went after her daughter, on a quest to "count some wooden stuff".'

END OF FLASHBACK

Isa was so caught up in her thoughts when suddenly...

"I know who you are."-a voice that made Isadora jump and look to her right.

She saw a dark haired girl with hazel eyes watching her intently.

Just as Isadora was going to protest the girl began talking quietly, in an amused voice:

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone...I'm Kya[Ka-ia] and I'm sixteen and a half."

Kya then sat down next to her, but since she was quite short, her feet barely touched the ground.

The dark haired girl asked:

"Are you boarding the ship too, lady Phoe-..."

Isadora swiftly pressed a finger on Kya's lips to silence her.

"Shhh...-Isa looked around to see if anyone had noticed and sighed in relief-"Yes I am. And just call me Isa?"

Kya nooded and looked at Isadora's finger, which was still on her lips. The younger gently licked the finger, while looking at it's owner's eyes.

Isadora's cheeks were burning in a bright shade of red. She quickly pulled her hand away and opened her mouth to speak:

"Ummm... Kya? Where do you come from? You don't look like you're from here..."

"I am not. I come from far, I was here on a... Vacation."-the younger answered with some hesitation.

Isadora raised a brow at the obvious lie, but didn't push it further.

"And why are you here, Isadora?"-Kya asked in a playful tone.

The older scratched her neck and laughed nervously.

"Uhh...hah...that is because-"

"Sister? Who's this?"

Isadora looked towards her savior and got up from her seat to hug Aiden.

"That is Kya from... Far."-Isadora introduced her, gesturing with her arm.

Aiden nodded and smiled at Kya.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. But sister, the inn owner said the ship is to anchor."-he stated.

"Right! My things?"-Isadora asked expectedly.

Aiden raised a bag and handed it to his sister.

He went in and paid for their stay and left the building. Isa was just about to leave when she looked back and asked:

"Weren't you coming, Kya?"

The younger smiled in joy and bounced out of the inn.
