"No, no, and one last time. No." Nino practically grabbed Marinette by the shoulders to try a shake some sense in her. "This is his special day and you should not interfere with his happiness."

Marinette leaned over to whisper to Alya, "He's the Phoebe."

She snickered.

"This is not a laughing matter!" Nino pointed behind him to where Adrien and Lila were floating around the room, sparking up conversation with prestigious guests.

"He is living a lie!" Alya shot back. "He thinks Lila wrote the letter professing her undying love for him and he's been living this love lie ever since graduation!"

Nino shook his head over and over. "You haven't considered the fact that he may have fallen in love with Lila coincidentally?"

Alya narrowed her eyes. "Unlikely."

"Let it go." he persisted.

"Oh shove it, Elsa." Alya sneered.

"Hey guys, enjoying the party?" Adrien had a tendency to randomly appear out of nowhere and scare people.

"Ah—yeah. Great party, 10/10." Marinette grinned, leaning over and grabbing two flukes of champagne.

"The music taste is certainly different." Nino commented, eyeing Marinette and taking a glass to prevent her from drowning her feelings in alcohol.

"Lila chose it," Adrien shrugged. "Not my favorite but maybe I'll like it after a while."

"Jazz."

"Yes."

"So ya like jaaazzzzz." Alya laughed contagiously, Marinette joining in until their ribs hurt.

Nino shook his head and took Adrien away from the noise. "How are you doing bro?"

Adrien shot him a confused smile. "What do you mean?"

"Is everything alright with you? Things with Lila going great, possibly buying another hotel in the works? Eh?"

"Things with Lila are pretty good, I'd say. She's planning on reading her letter she wrote to me at the reception." he smiled. "That was the moment I knew she was the one."

"Right." Nino sighed.

"What?"

"Nothing, nothing at all." Nino tried to change the subject. "So apparently, according to the tabloids, Lila is preggo."

"You mean pregnant? In that case, yes. We wanted to wait before the wedding but things kinda just happened."

"A drunken escapade?"

"What? No." Adrien furrowed his brows. "Maybe. I'm not really sure? Just one day she announced it and I just remember being really happy and really excited for us."

"That's nice, that's nice."

"Alright everyone, take your seats and dinner with be served!" Lila announced though the microphone, the crowd quickly taking their seats in anticipation for the gourmet food.

As Marinette and Alya sat down, Nino got to talking. "I found out something from Adrien."

"You have some tea?" Alya sipped at her water. "Dammit this is water not tea."

Marinette patted her assuringly.

Nino shook his head. "Lila is pregnant but Adrien said he didn't know how."

"Really?" Marinette's jaw dropped.

"He thinks it involved drinks, potentially, but he is fifty percent certain he doesn't remember."

Alya's eyes widened to the size of the moon. "The kid has a chance of not even being his! Or maybe she's not pregnant at all? What is the truth!"

Nino tried to shush her as the food arrived on fancy china. "I'm sure it is his kid but you need to keep this info under tabs."

"Gotcha." Alya gave him two thumbs up.  Marinette did the same.

"You two really need to start cutting back on your alcohol." he sighed for probably the tenth time that night.

"What do you mean? I'm totally soooobbeerrrr." Marinette giggled, whining as her chicken wouldn't cut. "What is wrong with this chicken?"

"It's vegan." Alya snickered, Marinette's surprised face being erupted by laughter.

"Am I going to be the one to drive you all home tonight?" Nino pushed around the food on his plate. He could really use some actual food.

"You," Alya reached over and grabbed Nino by the tie. "Did you know that you are so so so handsome."

"And you are so so so drunk!" Nino turned his face so Alya wouldn't kiss him sloppily.

"Look at her over there." Marinette picked up her fork and pointed it in the direction of Lila. "She's getting married soon. And I'm allllll alone. I'm so alone. I'm gonna die alone!"

"Ssh!" Nino tried to keep his girlfriend's and Marinette's voices down but he was struggling. "You're not gonna die alone."

Marinette began sobbing dramatically, her head falling onto her arms that rested on the clothed table. "I'm so aloneeee."

"I know what will cheer you up!" Alya stood up suddenly, pulling her friend by the arm. "Start up the music, my good friend!"

"I think we should get you two home." Nino held up chocolate covered strawberries to lure the two away.

"As long as I get those strawberries," Alya followed. "Oh! And some ice cream."

Marinette gasped excitedly. "We can also have more champagne! And more alcohol!"

Alya nodded enthusiastically and began breaking out into song, Marinette her backup singer.

The crowd turned to face them, watching as they belted and were almost out the door but just barely missed having no disastrous outburst.

Adrien shot Nino a sympathetic look, mixed with what seemed like cringe. Lila looked positively furious.

"Hello Mr. Police Man," Marinette booped him on the nose. "Are you here to party with ussss?"

"If by party you mean outside and away from disruption, then yes." he and another tough looking woman escorted them outside to where a chill surprisingly brushed through.

"It is soooo colddd." Alya whined, tapping Nino repeatedly until he gave up his blazer.

"You all are lucky we're even still invited to the wedding with that scene." Nino began walking to his car, only to have the door locked tight.

He patted around his pants for his keys but scoffed when they were in the blazer he gave to Alya.

"Alya, give me my keys."

"No."

"Alya, my keys."

"No!"

"Don't you run away from me!"

Alya and Marinette shucked off their heels, leaving them in the parking lot while their laughs followed and echoed them.

"It is too late for this!"

As the party began to wind down, Adrien grabbed his jacket while taking a final sip of champagne. His head pounded and he felt slightly buzzed but excited.

"Lila, you ready to go?" he poked her half-asleep form laying against the table.

"Mhm, yeah." she mumble. "Can you carry me out there? I feel extremely drun—nauseous because of the baby. Let's go home so I can get some water in me."

Adrien scooped her up, stepping carefully as to not drop her. Her head lolled to the side, resting on his chest.

"Maybe if I'm feeling better we can do something else, too." she whispered, knowing she had him wrapped around her sharp, red painted finger.
