Chapter 5

"So basically,what you're saying is that Zayn,is your boyfriend..who doesn't remember you?" Louis asked after I explained my story.Me,Michelle,Harry and Louis were sitting cross legged on my bed.I nodded.

"That son of a bi-" I cut him off. "Harry!I don't want you guys fighting because of me.It doesn't matter anyways." I muttered the last part.

"It does matter!Joey,he's your boyfriend.He's got to remember you.Talk to him?" Louis pleaded.

"If I even get 5 meters near him he'll want to rip my throat off." Michelle sniffled a laugh,I glared at her.She immediately went serious again.

"Just try,if he does something then yell for one of us." Michelle reassures.

"Why can't you talk to him?!Apparently you're his 'Best Friend'" I groaned.

"You're his girlfriend." Louis and Harry nodded.

"Ex..girlfriend." I croaked Woah,it feels weird saying that..

"Hey,think positive!" Louis chuckled.I couldn't help but smile at his attempt to cheer me up.

"Alright,alright.I'll go talk to him." I gave in,chuckling.I stood up and walked to the door.I turned around just as I was going to open the door.

"Don't tell anyone." I growled.They nodded really fast.I walked down the stairs and saw Zayn sitting on the couch with Niall and Liam.I took a deep breath,this is it.

"Zayn,we need to talk." I forced out of my mouth.He turned around,motioning me to go on.  "Alone." I added.He nodded and stood up.We walked to the kitchen were no one could hear us.

"Zayn-" He cut me off.

"Listen Joey,I'm sorry for the way I acted.I should just get over the fact that Kim broke up with me,not take it out on you.Uhm,would you like to go on a date with me tonight?" His cheeks heated up to a light tint of pink.

"I- uhm..I-" I stuttered.Way to sound calm,Joey.

"Sorry,I shouldn't have asked..It was stupid of me." He looked down and turned to walk away.

"Wait Zayn!" I grabbed his arm before he could leave. "I'll go." I half smiled.What am I doing?!I hate him.Why did I just accept that offer?Stupid,stupid,me.

"Great!Be ready at 7?" He asked.I nodded and walked away.I ran up the stairs and into my room.I burst through the door and fell face first on my bed.

"UGH!" i screamed into my pillow.

"Joey?" Michelle chuckled.

I turned around and sat on my knees."Oh,you're still here." I muttered.

"Way to feel loved." Harry placed a hand over his heart,pretending to be hurt.I just rolled my eyes.

"How did it go?!" Michelle changed the subject.

"Well-uhm I went to talk to him,but he started saying he was sorry and all that..Then he um,h-he asked me out." I whispered.

"OH EM GEE!COME ON LETS GO PICK YOUR OUTFIT!" Louis screamed like a teenage girl.

"I think Lou is more excited for this than Joey." Michelle chuckled.I giggled to myself.I took my phone out and checked the time.5pm.

"SHIT!" I exclaimed. "Its already 5!"

"Michelle quickly stood up and grabbed my hand.She dragged me to the bathroom and placed me on a chair.She poked her head out of the door.

"Boys!Pick out her outfit,would you?" She shouted to them.What if they pick out something terrible?!I don't trust them.I mentally looked in my closet and tried to find a back-up outfit..I could go for my black skinny jeans and sleeveless shirt..That would look cute with a pair of flats!Or my strapless yellow sundress?

"Done!" Michelle's voice suddenly rang my ears.

"Wait-wuu?" I asked.I opened my eyes and looked at the mirror,my make-up was already done.

"That was fast." I chuckled.I had more of a natural look,a bit of eyeliner and mascara making my blue eyes pop.My lips were a tint lighter than normal,that's pretty much it.

"What should we do with your hair?" Michelle asked.

"I want to leave it like this." I looked at my naturally straight black hair.

"You're kidding me right?!This is a date we're talking about!" She exclaimed and grabbed a curling iron.I guess it wouldn't hurt to curl my hair.Half hour later,Michelle finished my hair.I opened my eyes.I looked..beautiful.

"Thank Michelle!" I got up and hugged her.

"Hey!Watch the hair!I'm not starting over." She playfully scowled.I chuckled and went back into my room.

"We got your outfit!" Harry told us,while on the other hand Lou was jumping up and down.Harry pointed to a dress lying on the bed.I didn't even know I had this one!It was a short,white strapless dress with a thick black belt.On the edge of the bed were a pair black platforms.You'd think these boys were actually gay,they got some sense of fashion.I picked up the dress and heels and went to the bathroom to change.I put the dress on and slipped into the heels.This was absolutely perfect!The dress hugged all the right curves while the heels made my legs look longer.

"Are you still alive in there?" Louis called out.

"Yup!" I chuckled.I opened the bathroom door and walked out.The boys jaws fell open. "I told you she's gonna look great!" Michelle squealed.I blushed. 

"You look amazing sis!"Harry hugged me. 

"Oh my god,like I love your shoes!" Louis gasped.I burst into laughter.Typical Lou.

"It's 7!It's 7!" Michelle shouted. "Get your sexy ass down there!" She pushed me down.I walked down the stairs.Trying not to fall.Trying not to fall..and I fell.

I looked up and saw Zayn looking down at me.

FLASHBACK

"Joey!Get down there!" Michelle shouted. 

"It's my first date!What if I say something wrong?" I panicked.

"You won't!Now go!Zayn's waiting" She pushed me out of the room.I took a deep breath and walked down the stairs.I was never good with heels.Halfway down the stairs I lost my balance and fell forward.I screamed and waited for the impact.But if never came.I opened my eyes and was met by Zayn's deep brown ones.I get lost in them every single time."

" -okay?" I noticed I was still staring into Zayn's deep pools.

"Hm..what?" I stood up from his arms.

"I asked if you were okay." He chuckled.

"Oh..um yeah!" I blushed.He smirked and grabbed my hand.We walked passed Niall and Liam who shot me smiles.I thought they hated me?Oh well.I smiled back-bad idea.

"USE PROTECTION!" Niall shouted in our faces.I smiled and looked down.Boys..

Me and Zayn walked hand in hand down the hall towards the door.

This is going to be a LONG night..
