Arrival

Ashlyn POV

I walked to my horse. I was to leave Polis and go to TonDC. I was about to ride out when I was stopped by and all to familiar voice. "You should take a guard." I roll my eyes. "I can defend myself, Heda." I heard a chuckle at my statement. I looked back at Lexa. I gave her a pleading look. To her I was her sister. No one can hurt me. And she was over-protective of me.

She sighed. "There will be a guard taking you to TonDC. Then he will return and you can do as you wish." She said. That was a statement. I didn't bother trying to argue. She wouldn't change her mind. I saw a guard coming and yelled out, "Try to keep up!", and with that I rode of.

I rode through the woods and the surroundings felt more and more like home. Sure I lived in Polis but TonDC was my real home. I rode until I heard I heard a familiar "Wait." from behind me. I stopped. "Well if it isn't Lincoln." I said with a smirk. He smiled and told the guard he would take it from here. I took a turn to a familiar river that I used to always go to.

I hopped of and looked at the water. I was admiring the surrounding area. That was until I felt myself get pushed into the water. When I went to the top I heard a "Expect anything." from Lincoln. I put my hand up. "Help me up." He grabbed my hand and I quickly pulled him in. When he surfaced I said"Expect anything." mockingly.  He glared at me before pulling me underwater with him. Just to get him mad I relisted all my breath. He quickly pulled us up. I spit a mouthful of water at him before bursting out in laughing.

After staying there for a while we dried of and rode back to a small village near TonDC. Lincoln told me that my sister was there. We got there around midnight. I was forced to get sleep because of Lincoln. I woke up early. I was walking around the village when I heard a voice behind me. "Ash?" I turned around and was met by a big hug. "Carly." I muttered. She was the only family I had left. Indra told me that our parents were taken by the Mountain Men. I didn't remember anything before the age of 6. We pulled away. She had a bag of her belongings and tears in her eyes. "What's going on?" I whispered in English. "Ice Nation made a deal with the commander. He said that they would remove her by force or take me and leave." She said her voice breaking. 

I heard a voice and saw two warriors from Ice Nation. She looked at me and said "I have to go." She looked back and walked to the warriors and hopped on a horse. They left before I could say anything else. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked back. Lincoln was there. "I came here for her." I said to him. He pulled me into a hug. "And know you're here for your people."  I looked at him. "Lets go hunting." He said trying to cheer me up. I nodded.

I walked with him when I heard an loud crash from the North. I looked at Lincoln. And we ran towards the sound.
