O M E G A V E R S E -
An Omegaverse is a fictional kink trope where most/all humans are assigned a defined, biological role based on a hierarchical system-the terms originating from animalistic behavior research. There may be plausible, fictional tropes such as werewolves and knotting, but the characters are mainly/visibly human.

S E C O N D A R Y G E N D E R -
A biological role in society of which all people are assigned after presenting. They consist of three defined positions- Alpha, Beta, and Omega. The two primary genders such as male and female are still existent.

P R E S E N T I N G -
Presenting usually happens between the ages of 12-18 years old in both male and female genders. It's where an omega will get his/her first heat, while an alpha will get his first rut. Based off of heat or rut, you are given a secondary gender. Beta do not present.Because secondary genders are not specified before presentation, it's important that any and all paperwork regarding such gender must be shown and/or given to the current school one may be attending, or work site.
Although this is the main usage of presenting, many people also interpret it as when an omega completely and entirely submits, usually during a heat. They will willingly spread themselves for an alpha/beta, making their body fully accessible for their partner.

A L P H A -
Alphas are the more dominant secondary gender role in an omegaverse fanfiction. They are the highest standing in society and natural-born leaders. Alpha may be both male and female. Alpha make up 25% of the population in this story.

B E T A -
Beta are the more neutral and common secondary gender. They are middle ranked and do not have any special abilities other than a heightened sense of smell. Beta are generally like humans. They do not have any additional fertility benefits, and make up 50% of the world population.

O M E G A -
Omega are the more submissive of all three secondary genders. They stand to be considered the "Lowest" ranked in society. Omega may be both male and female, but male omega are rare-people usually see them either as a prized possession or deformities-usually by the minority, or jealous people. They make up 25% of the world population.

H E A T -
Heats are a stage of a reproductive cycle. Omega have an extremely high sex drive at this time, and conception rates are very high. A heat is a period of time during a month when an omega becomes extremely submissive and aroused. This time frame usually lasts for about 3-7 days, although dates may vary based on the person.
