When Onpa finally awoke, she was still trapped in the net. She was in what seemed to be a small cottage living room, the same figures that were in the Meowth balloon stood on either side of her. The one with the pink hair leaned down and sneered when she got a good look at her. "Idiots! This isn't a Noivern!" she exclaimed as she looked up at the one with the blue hair.
"Well it looked like one from above!" he shot back as his eyebrow started to twitch.
"We can't just show her to the boss! Who knows what he's gonna do if he sees we brought a fake Pokemon!" yelled the Meowth, jumping on top of Onpa. Onpa yelped and started to trash around again, trying once again to get free.
The pink-haired one let out a low growl and put her hand on her face and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Well we can't just let her back into the wild. She obviously thinks she's a Noivern. I mean just look at her! She's as thin as a twig!"
Onpa stopped trashing and looked down, starting to think about what they said...
"This isn't a Noivern."
"We brought a fake Pokemon."
"She obviously thinks she's a Noivern."
"N...Noi...?" Onpa let out a small cry, looking up at her kidnappers. They looked down at her, the blue-haired one crouching down to be eye-to-eye with her.
"Can you understand us?" he asked curiously, the pink-haired figure rolling her eyes.
Onpa nodded and started to shiver. All her life, she has been raised as a Noivern, she even wore the skull of her dead "father". "N-not... Noi... vern?" she asked, a shaken tone in her voice.
"Unfortunate for us, no. How did you end up like this?" asked the pink-haired one, crossing her arms.
"Father... w-was... Noivern," replied Onpa as she sat up, causing the Meowth to move over. "Lived... in cave. W-wanted... to fly."
"My name is James... This is Jessie," said the blue-haired one slowly, as he gestured to the pink-haired one.
"I assume you already know me as Meowth, considering you was raised by them Pokemon," said the Meowth with a smirk.
"Wobbuffet!" cried out a Wobbuffet who seemingly appeared from nowhere, making James and Jessie jump in surprise.
"You're always jumping out like this!" yelled Jessie, scolding the excited Pokemon.
James let out a sigh and hesitantly took the net off of Onpa. "Do you know your name?" he asked as Jessie tried putting the Wobbuffet back in his Pokeball.
Onpa looked down and thought for a moment. "O... On... Pa." She strained a bit as she said her name, having never said it in English before. "My name is... Onpa."
James gave a soft smile. "Well Onpa, how would you feel about joining us?" he asked excitedly, his expression brightening up. Jessie suddenly smacked him on the head, looking pissed off.
"Are you serious?! We can't take care of this kid!" yelled Jessie, Wobbuffet going back into his Pokeball. "Meowth is enough to deal with!"
"Hey! I'm right here!" exclaimed the Meowth, getting up in Jessie's face. As Onpa sat there, the three of them started to argue over if they should keep her with them and bring her back to being human, or if they should just throw her back into the wild.
After a good few minutes of the three arguing with Onpa sitting there, shivering, they finally agreed on something. Jessie took a deep breath and looked down at her.
"Ok hun, we've decided you will stay with us, under one condition. You must face the fact that you are NOT a Pokemon, and you will help us with whatever we ask you to help us with! You don't have a say in the matter. Understand?!" She bent down and put her hands on her hips, as if she was a mother scolding a child.
Onpa gulped nervously and nodded, her face going a bit pale. Since she had no say in the matter, she couldn't retort to living with them and going back into the wild.
"Good! Now let's take that stupid mask off!" Jessie exclaimed and reached down to take the skull off of her head. Onpa suddenly screeched in fear and anger and backed away, starting to shake.
"Th-this is... Father's skull! Y... You can't... Take it!" Onpa snarled, backing away more. "I-if you... take... I-I will... attack!"
James blinked, looking a bit worried. He looked at Jessie, who seemed pretty determined to take the skull from Onpa. "Oh just give it here you brat!" Jessie yelled and lunged at her again, this time managing to grab hold of the skull. Onpa screeched again and tried kicking her away while she held onto the skull. Meowth butted in and started helping Jessie to try and take the skull from her. "Don't just stand there James! Come over here!" she yelled. Before James could say anything, Meowth had managed to get the skull off of Onpa and he held it up high.
"Ha! Got it!" yelled Meowth, throwing it over to James, who hesitantly caught it. When Onpa's skull was taken, all her facial features came to light. Her pointed ears, her sharp fangs, her wide eyes, her scruffy hair. It became clear to Jessie, James, and Meowth that she had lived with Noiverns for so long, that her body had adapted to the environment she was living in.
Onpa looked up at the three of them with her wide, green eyes. It almost looked like she was going to cry. Jessie blinked when she saw all of Onpa's features that were under the skull she wore, then glanced at James. "Should we be concerned about that?" Jessie asked, glancing back at Onpa.
Onpa stood up, but her stance was a bit hunched over, as if she was in a attack position. "G... give... that back!" she yelled, her heart racing with anger. Jessie scoffed and stuffed the Noivern skull in a bag.
"You'll get the skull back when you start acting like a human!" Jessie yelled and slung the bag over her back. "From now on, we're raising you as a normal human being, and we will make sure you act like one!"
James wanted to say something, but he knew Jessie would just explode more with anger if he did. Meowth seemed pleased that Jessie was being so tough. Onpa did her best to hold back tears, her body quivering. If this was going to be her new life, she didn't think she would enjoy it as much as her life as a Pokemon.
