My Reasons

 Should schools go trash free?

Americans throw away about 15 million tons of plastic containers and packaging each year according to the Enviormental Protection Agency. All that garbage is a problem---a big, sticky, messy problem---for our planet. Most of our trash ends up in landfills, where it will sit for centuries, giving off toxins as it slowly degrades. There is even hidden benefit of going trash-free: it can save money. I think going trash-free at lunch is a great way to help keep the environment clean and safe not only for people but also for the animals including the ocean.

To begin with, going trash free is a great way to save money because you don't have to spend so much on plastic bags that will be thrown away.pg 11 paragraph 11. Here is an example, it can help keep the planet clean. For example, another reason is that it helps keep the planet clean because without plastic bags just think of how much cleaner our planet would be, we wouldn't have plastic bags or cups just laying on the ground everywhere and also we wouldn't really have to have as much garbage cans on the streets (which saves money). Also it can be good for the planet, one reason why people use plastic bags is for time and space, but if plastic bags weren't a thing then the world as we know it would probably be much cleaner. And those are my reasons to why we should go trash free.

Although plastic bags are easy and efficent to use it is very unhealthy for our planet to throw all of that trash around, as I am saying I am not against it I am just looking for the best benifit for my planet thus saying plastic bags are probably the worst way to make our planet not only cleaner but healthier. If you are for plastic bags no problem thats fine just remember to clean up your trash and not throw it on the ground where it could get into the worst places, the ocean, but if you are looking to make a switch from plastic bags then I suggest using cups with micorwaveable safe containers that are not only easy to use but also healthier for our planet.

Finally, going trash free is actually a good way to make the air, the ground, and the whole planet happy, and that is my reason to why the whole world should go trash free.
