I hurriedly took off my jacket and belt, not breaking contact with Dev's lips, who was breathing heavily already. How cute.

The lights came on suddenly.

I looked back semi blinded by the brightness. "What the hell? Luka?!"

There he was. My roommate stood on the bottom of the stairs, wearing only his dark green sweat pants and an angry frown. His long, wavy, dark brown hair was messily tied back in a loose ponytail. The unkept beard on his face made it obvious that he hadn't left the house in several days. I noticed he was shaking and fidgeting more than usual. I had hoped he'd already be working one of his shady nocturnal jobs by now...

Between us stood the living room, which looked like a complete mess. His clothes were all over the floor, there were empty beer bottles on the coffee table and all over the brown leather sofa. I saw a half snorted line of white powder on the table and got the whole picture immediately.

"Really? I was worried sick about you all night and you bring home some guy?"

"Is this your boyfriend?" Dev accusingly asked me, eyes wide in panic, taking a step away from me.

"What the fuck?! No!"

"Yes." Luka interjected.

"Hell no! He is not my fucking boyfriend." I spat back at him with a lot more rage than I should have shown. "Ya think I'd do that?! Invite you here, if he was?!" If I could've punched myself in the guts for asking that question, I would've. I hate myself. I hate myself so much... I inhaled deeply, banishing those thoughts while summoning all the sobriety I didn't have. "He's just a nosy little prick."

"Say whatever you want, but this is my house. You, out!" He ordered Dev.

Dev didn't protest. He left as quickly as he'd come in.

Great. Great! I sighed. There was a small moment of silence. I ended it soon, however.

"You fuckin' asshole." I did my best to control my tone of voice.

"Me? You're an ice cold bitch."

"Tell me something I don't know." I shrugged and grabbed my guitar and backpack, turning to head upstairs. I'd had enough of his shit and I was more than ready to call it a night. It was useless to add anything else anyway, considering both our drug-induced altered states.

"Wait up! We are not done!"

I took a deep breath and turned around. "What else is there to say, Luka? Ya got what you fuckin' wanted."

"You know that I could always head up with you."

"Not this shit again." I groaned. This guy disgusted me beyond comprehension. I took one step up before I felt his hand on my wrist.

"You keep fucking guys and girls you barely know while you never tried anything with me. Thy, look in my eyes and tell me you feel nothing for me."

I paused. Turning around slowly, I faced him close enough to feel violated. "I feel nothing," I stated in a flat tone, looking him dead in his dark brown eyes.

"Liar."

I growled as loud as I could. I'd reached my limit. I yanked my wrist away from his grip and stormed up the beige carpeted stairs. Crossing the upstairs hallway, I dropped everything in my room and closed the white door behind me with a bang.

My room wasn't the smallest in the house, but it wasn't exactly what you'd call spacious. There were two ancient cupboards that I found being disposed of by some rich family. The two wooden relics, in which I had all my clothes and few other personal items, were side by side against the wall on the right side if you were looking in, through the door. They were facing the modest iron bed, which was against the opposite wall, closer to the door. On the wall facing the door stood a big window with a crappy view, unless your intended to see your disgusting neighbor naked, which was not exactly on my bucket list. The bedroom walls were painted light blue and the whole room had a bland, lifeless feel to it.
