keith walked into the medical room and got checked out. "your clear to sing on Friday" the doctor said. keith got up and walked into the lobby. "call the school i'ma going to the dance" keith said. everyone cheered. keith called up his old friends and they were going. he waited in the lobby as they came in.
"rick, Thomas, Lewis" keith said and hugged them all. "wow you look different" Lewis said. "guys what do you say we rock Friday night" keith asked. "we haven't played together in years" rick said. "well can you guys still play" keith asked. "yeah we can" Thomas said. "can you still sing" rick asked. "you bet my ass i can" keith said.
"come on i'll show you where we can practice" keith said and walked into the training room. "so the room is soundproof and the door will be locked at all times. only us four will have keys for a two weeks and my wife has set a timer for when dinner lunch and breakfast is then we have to take a break" keith said. "damn your married" Lewis said. "yep and i got three kids" keith said.
"well let's see what you guys got" keith said walking on stage. they all got out the instruments and began to play.
one days until show time......
"oh man remember that mask you would wear" rick laughed with a beer in his hand. "do you still have that thing" thomas asked. "i think so" keith said. "oh man remember when no one knew who you were. now if i could only remember what the old name was" lewis said. silence filled the room as everyone thought. "black angel" keith said.
"that's right" rick said. "oh remember our theme song" thomas said. keith chuckled. "angel with a shotgun" keith said. "man tomorrow night we go out again after 20 years" lewis said. "you know i think it's time that everyone sees who the real black angel is" keith said. "no way your not going to take the mask off. everyone is going to be shocked. you were the no body in high school and that other guy is the every guy" rick said.
"it's been 25 years and no one knows who black angel is. it's time guys" keith said. "then if you reveal your face then we are all with you" lewis said. "yeah" thomas said. "to black angel" rick said raising his drink. "to black angel" everyone else said and they all clinked there drinks together.
puts on his mask and got ready for the school reunion.

he got inside the car in a suit and he couldn't talk at all. his band or friends would call him only black angel not keith or buddy. they had to wait there turn to sing but they could get drinks and eat. but keith had to wait. it was hard because of the mask.
"you ready angel" rick asked as they pulled up. keith nodded. they pulled up to a red carpet and everyone from there high school year was in dresses and suits. the car stopped and keith got out in his suit and mask. his friends or the band members grabbed their instruments and got out of the car. everyone cheered as keith got out of the car.
no one liked him when he was the emo kid without the mask. putting on the mask gave him another identity. he could be someone different and no one knew who he was. he could be whoever he wanted and only three people knew who he was. he made them swear to secrecy not to tell anyone.
it was his chance to forget his past and be the popular kid, to show the world what he could do.
