I feel a rush of adrenaline as I leap after them. I land and quickly scan my surroundings, there are trees everywhere, we must be somewhere in the heart of the forest. I run on all fours next to Alec.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"You'll see," that's all he says, before running off and taking lead.

See I told you he was vague, I tell my wolf. He's not vague, he's just trying to surprise us, she argues back.

I ignore her and pick up the pace, moving up nearer Cristina, "do you know where we are going?"

"Of course. Don't even try asking, I'm not allowed to tell you," she responds smugly.

I sigh and give up. After passing trees, after trees, I finally hear the sound of running water in the distance. My ears perk up to the sound. Are we going swimming? I ask myself.

I run past Jason and come up beside Alec. He gives me a sideways glance, "I'll race you."

"Go!"

I sprint as fast as I can, following the sound of water. Alec is only just in front of me. I put my paw around his back leg and pull it out from under him, he yelps as he loses balance. I laugh as I take the lead, leaving him behind me.

I can see the glimmer of water just behind the bushes in front of me. I pick up the pace and run straight through them. Something leaps above my head and lands directly in front of me, sprinting for the water. I jump into the water just a second after him.

"Ha, I won!" Alec yells in my head.

I poke my tongue out at him, "you cheated!"

"How did I cheat? Your the one that tripped me," he fires back.

That's true, my wolf says. I thought you were on my side, you traitor, I argue with her.

I wad back out of the water and onto the green grass. I take in the beautiful scene around me. Alec is standing in the middle of a pristine lake, ripples surrounding him. Further to the left is a waterfall, water flowing down rapidly. All over the land is greenery, grass, moss, trees, bushes, it's beautiful.

"Well, are you coming or what?" Alec says.

I jump back into the water and relax. I sit in the shallows where my head will still be above the surface. Suddenly Jason and Cristina come bursting through the trees barking and yapping. They wrestle each other and eventually Jason let's her win and falls into the water.

I jump up and Cristina comes at me, we wrestle for a while and play around in the water, before we all get tired and lay on the shore.

"How long are we gonna be like this? A wolf I mean," I ask to no one in particular.

"It depends on the moon really, sometimes the Lunar Eclipse lasts only for a night and sometimes it lasts for twenty four hours. But when it goes, we will change back," Alec answers.

"You might want to be somewhere with clothes before the night ends, because if your not, well, you will find out," Jason says vaguely. These people are so goddamn vague!

"She needs to learn how to change first Jase, don't get too ahead of yourself," Alec says.

"Wait, don't I just automatically change back to human form when the moon goes?" I ask, concerned.

"Nope, you need to change yourself, you will just be unable to until the moon is gone," Cristina explains.

We sit silently for a while.

"We should probably get back, make sure we are home before sunrise," Alec finally breaks the silence.

Slowly, we all get up and head back to the house, castle? I don't know, the big building in the middle of nowhere. I notice Alec's wolf is much bigger than Jason and Cristina's, probably bigger than mine too.

"Because I'm next in line for alpha," Alec speaks in my head.

"I thought you couldn't read my mind?"

"I can't, you said that out loud, well in my head," he explains.

I sigh, I will have to get used to this, I really hope I haven't projected my thoughts about anything else, his eyes are so dreamy and his arms are so muscly and-

"Harper! Quit daydreaming," Alec all but yells in my head, I really hope he didn't hear that.

"Whatever it was, I didn't hear it."

"I said that out loud didn't I?"

"Yep. Don't worry, you will get used to it eventually."

"Eventually? How long is eventually?" I complain.

He just does some strange movements with his shoulders, a shrug I think, then he walks off towards the house.

The house actually looks like a normal, regular house, not a mansion like I thought it would be. Well, if you don't include the three storeys. It has a fern vine climbing the front wall and there are small balconies here and there. The front porch is pretty big, with an outdoor couch and two outdoor armchairs on ones side and a hammock on the other. This place is so cool!

"Hey Alec, how do we get in the house? Cause we're like, bigger than we were as a human," I stutter.

"We had the doors widened when we built the place, or not we, more like the people who lived here first. Probably my grandfather," he explains. Well that makes sense.

Jason and Cristina walk inside together, "I'll grab some clothes for you guys and bring them out," Cristina says.

"Thanks Cristina," Alec replies.

"Hey, what about me?" Jason buts in.

"Cristina, you better not let him choose my clothes. The last time he did that, we were camping and he insisted on packing my stuff for me. I changed to wolf and when I went to change back, I found he only packed crop tops, mini skirts and stilettos. Where did he even get those?"

Jason rolls around on the ground howling with laughter, literally. I am in the same situation as him. We both roll around laughing, well barking and howling.

"I don't see how that was so funny?" Alec says.

"I was just imagining you wearing a crop top, mini skirt and stilettos," I explain, starting my laughing fit all over again.

He just shakes his head and goes inside with Cristina, leaving me with Jason.

"Hey look, the sun is coming up," he nods his head in the direction of the rising sun.

Alec and Cristina come back out with clothes and dump them on the porch. Alec comes and sits by me and Cristina by Jason and we watch the sky change from black, to pink, to blue as the sun comes up slowly.

Once the sun is clear in the sky, not high but still fully visible, Jason and Cristina get up and go inside.

Alec looks at me, "I'll be right back," he stands up and walks over to the porch, grabbing an item of clothing. He then walks off into the bushes.

He comes back a minute late in shorts, shirtless again. Maybe he has something against shirts, not that I'm complaining.

"Guess what Harper? It's time to learn how to change."
