He just walks away. Seriously? What is wrong with him? I'm fine. I sigh and stand up, heading towards my room.

Harper.

I spin around, "Alec?"

Harper.

"Where are you?" I ask into the empty space behind me.

Harper, over here.

"Who are you?"

It doesn't matter. Go this way.

The front door swings open in front of me, taunting me, daring me to leave.

Harper, the deep, dark voice sounds again.

"No. I won't go, Alec will be back soon. I-I have to wait for him," I stutter.

Are you scared, Harper? The voice chuckles, I won't hurt you...yet.

I slowly step back onto the step behind me, inching my way up the second stair.

Searing pain rips through my stomach as I step further back. I lurch forward, clutching my stomach.

Go! The voice demands.

I take a hesitant step forward. The pain lessens. I try stepping back again, but the pain comes back more. In agony, I stumble forwards hoping for it to go away.

I move slowly out the door, clutching and scraping at my abdomen the whole way.

"Now what?" I yell into the open air.

Go into the forest behind house.

I try taking a step back again, but pain rips through my body. I fall to the ground, clawing at my abdomen.

"Stop! Please!" I cry out desperately.

Move! He yells at me.

I whimper as I move forward, still clawing at my stomach. I look down when I feel blood running over my fingers. It doesn't bother me, I just keep walking. I know my fingers are still ripping at my torso, but I just feel numb.

I keep walking until I see a clearing ahead. I stumble over my own feet and my head spins as I try to reach the clearing. I grab the tree next to me to regain my balance. More pain runs throughout my body as I stop.

Keep moving! The voice commands.

I move my hands up to where my chest throbs with agony. I can't feel it as my skin is ripped and clawed by my own nails. I continue walking forward towards the clearing.

Slowly and painfully, I stagger into the clearing. I stumble into the centre of the clearing and fall to my knees.

Open it, the voice says.

"Open what?" I question, looking up from my position on the ground.

Directly opposite me, on the other side of the clearing is a cage-like door in the ground.

"How do I open it?"

I don't care, just do it!

I try standing up again, but fall, weak from blood loss and pain.

"I can't," I choke out.

The pain rises within my again, burning and stabbing at my insides.

I roll into the fatal position and groan in pain. My fingers continue clawing at my skin, my stomach and chest. I can feel blood running down my torso and down my arms. I nearly scream out, but manage to suppress it, causing a whimpering sound to claw its way out of my throat.

Slowly I sink in and out of consciousness, lying on the brink of life. I spread my limbs back out, the pain now much less. My head falls to the side and I finally slip out of consciousness.

I open my eyes to whiteness above me. I though I was in the forest. Am I dead?

"No, you're not dead."

I turn my head to see Alec sitting by me.

"What did I do this time?" I ask, I have been in this situation too many times.

"You somehow managed to walk all the way into the middle of the forest, covered in blood with your stomach and chest ripped open," he explains.

I try sitting up, but quickly decide to lay back down when I feel something tugging at my skin.

Alec removes the blankets from my body and lifts the bottom of my shirt. I look down to see gauze wrapped around my torso tightly. I lift my hands to my chest to find the same thing.

"How did that happen?" I ask wearily.

"You did it with your own hands," he says, "you were in critical condition when Jason and I brought you here. You need to rest, Alice has fixed you up, but you need to stay on bed rest for a while."

"What, how..." I trail off, trying to let this sink in, "why? I mean, why did I do that?"

"You... well. I'll let Michael explain."

Michael walks into my line of vision he was standing behind Alec the whole time. How did I not notice that?

"Harper, your father is Ronan, yes?" Michael asks.

"Yes," I reply cautiously.

"And he is a demon, yes?"

"Yes."

"More specifically, he's Satan's son?"

"Yes. Michael, what's going on?"

"You know how when Daniel became a demon, his werewolf blood was completely wiped out?"

I just nod.

"I took a sample of your blood on the night this first started and, well, yours isn't like his."

"Obviously, mines werewolf and his is demon."

"No, Harper, yours is different. Your demon blood is still there. The demon part of you is getting stronger."
