Jerome and Queenie were best friends once. But one day she left, about nine years later they are reunited. Old feelings rise up again. And they're not planning on being separated any time soon. But fate seems to have a different plan.

Me and Jerome fooled around for a while till it was time to get ready for the Gala. I went home to get ready and I would meet them there. So I got ready for tonight. Finally I was ready and headed to the Gala.
I wanted to make sure I get to see Jerome before he goes on. When I got there they were already there. I went backstage to see J when Tabby stopped me.
"Hey everything is set up. Ill wait for you so after you're done seeing we can head back together."
"Um, when did I ever say I wasn't going to be here during everything. I'm staying."
"Come on Queen, you could get hurt. And besides I don't want to wait for them alone and we barley get to hang out anymore."
"You're an idiot if you think I'm leaving."
"Please just think about it. Then she hugged me tightly, Thank you for your help. I'm sorry, about my brother." And with that she left.
I didn't really think about how weird that was cause my mind was focused on seeing Jerome. Then I saw Rose was going on stage, so I decided to talk to her a bit before she went on. Finally I found Jerome, he had a fake beard and a black mask with a top hat but he still looked hot with his suit.
"You look hot as a magician." He turned around to see me.
"And you look hot in blue." Motioning to my dress.
"I wish I could be on stage with you tonight."
"Well then I wouldn't get to see you with dress."
"Tabitha said I should head out with her. Shes crazy if she thinks Id leave you."
"About that, I was thinking Gorgeous maybe it'd be best if you weren't here when things go down." I felt like I was punch in the gut when he said that.
"What?! No! I'm staying with you even if its just playing hostage, I'm not going." He grabbed my face and looked into my eyes. Damn does beautiful green eyes, filled with craze, lust, life,excitement, a tinge of fear and most of all love.
"Look at me Gorgeous, I couldn't bare to lose you. If something happened to you because of me, I couldn't ever forgive myself. I'd rather have you away from me for a few hours than forever. Please promise me you won't be here, you'll be somewhere safe."
I didn't want to fight about this anymore. When I saw his eyes filled with fear now, fear of losing me, he looked as if he was fighting back tears I decided to give in. Besides I didn't want him on stage not focusing cause he was thinking about my safety. I just didn't want to see him like this, so I pulled him in for a kiss.
