Three orbs of lightning shoot down in front of your face, forming an upside down triangle. They make every strand of hair on your body stand up on end. Without any warning, they fly across the ocean, propelling you backward. Straight into Jungkook.
"Oof!" he exclaims as you knock him backward. You roll off Jungkook after you both fall on the sand, lying next to him as you catch your breath.
"What...was...that?" you finally manage, still lying on the sand. You are shaking. Jungkook sits up and pulls you p with him, grasping your hand.
"I...have no idea," he says, looking at you. "We should probably leave now. I don't think it's a good idea to be on the beach during a storm."
Jungkook stands, pulling you up with him. You are still shaking, so he wraps an arm around your shoulder. You walk back up to the road where Jungkook's car is parked.
Jungkook POV
I help Y/N up off the beach and walk her back to my car. "Do you want to come with me to get some coffee. It might help."
Y/N nods, lips thin. I hold open the passenger door for her, and she stiffly climbs in.
"You okay?" I ask.
"Y-yeah..." Y/N says, clutching the bottom of her seat. "Let's just go."
As we drive away I notice Y/N start to relax. I smile to myself.
End Jungkook POV
You. Are. Shook. You really don't know how else to describe what you are feeling. You just hope this feeling passes with the coffee.
"So, a couple of my friends work at the coffee shop," Jungkook says. "They might be able to help. If anyone would believe us, it's them."
You nod, still not really wanting to speak. As you get farther from the beach, you notice the weather start to clear up. When you stop at a red light, you lightly tap Jungkook on the shoulder and point out the window. His eyebrows raise, and he focuses on the road again.
You arrive at the coffee shop in about five minutes. Jungkook helps you out, and you walk in together.
"Hey-o, Kookie!" the guy at the counter calls. We walk up, and I read the man's name tag. "Kim Taehyung"
Name: Kim Taehyung
Age: 20 (at start of story)
Kim Taehyung is an employee at Curiosities Coffee Shop with Kim Seokjin. Brother is Kim Namjoon. Best friend to Jeon Jungkook. Baby of the group.
"Ahh, Taehyung," Jungkook says. "This is Y/N. We met at the beach today."
"Finally brought a girl?" a voice from the kitchen calls. "My son is finally growing up!"
"Shut up, Jin," Jungkook mumbles as a man walks out of the kitchen. His name tag reads "Kim Seokjin."
Name: Kim Seokjin
Age: 23
Kim Seokjin is and employee at Curiosities Coffee Shop with Kim Taehyung. He also works part time at a restaurant as a chef. Best friend to Kim Namjoon. Mother of the friend group.
"Umm," you say, making all eyes turn on you. "Can I order now?"
"Of course; sorry," Taehyung says.
"I'll just have the large vanilla latte with extra cream, please," You say, reading off the big menu above the counter.
"I'll have that ready in just a minute, ma'am" he replies. As he makes your coffee, Jungkook turns to Jin.
"When do you guys get off?" he asked.
"Umm... five, I think," Jin replies. "Why?"
"Y/N and I saw something... we need to talk about it. I'll call the rest of the guys. Y/N, do you have any friends that you might want to call? We could all meet up tonight."
"Yeah," you say, thing of Jisoo and Rosé. "I'll call them in a little bit."
