Chapter Eight - Messages

You open your eyes slowly. You look around, not recognizing your surroundings. Everything's white. Well, except the TV, but even that has an old black and white western playing.

You blink and look next to you, feeling something move. Yoongi is laying next to you, sound asleep. You smile. He looks so cute!

You pinch his cheeks, waking him up.

"Y/N, you're awake!" he exclaims, showing you his gummy smile. "That's great!"

"I have a question, though," you say. "Where are we?"

"We're at the hospital, Y/N," Yoongi replies, his smile disappearing. "Don't you remember?"

You shake your head, looking at him. "The last thing I remember is Seokjin talking about how I was, what, the 'Child of Creation?'"

"Yeah," Yoongi says. "After that, you passed out. I called an ambulance. You've been here for about four hours."

"Four hours?!" you ask. "What about the girls?"

"I don't know," Yoongi tells you. "I've been with you the whole time. I even convinced the paramedics to let me ride in the ambulance with you. I haven't left your side, I promise."

"Well, why don't you go tell the others I'm awake," I say. "I'm sure they'd like to know."

Yoongi nods before getting up, planting a small kiss on the to of my head. Then he leaves the room, leaving me confused and flustered. I mean, he had kissed me before, when we were kids, but like I said, we were just kids. I didn't think it realy meant anything. Why does now feel different?

I shake my head, trying to clear out all of the confusion. I close my eyes and reopen them to see that, yes, I am indeed awake.

Within two minutes, the door opens and my friends shuffle in. They all smile and wave at me.

"Y/N!" my friend, Lisa, says. "I'm so glad you're okay!"

Name: Lalisa Manoban

Age: 19 (at start of story)

Her nickname is Lisa. Lisa is a very energetic person who is full of love. She lives by herself in an apartment downtown. She and Y/N spend a lot of time together because of their shared interests.

Lisa comes up to hug you. You hug her back and say, "Thanks! Me too!"

At this, both of you laugh. "Jennie couldn't come, Y/N," Jisoo states. "She was busy working and couldn't get off. She said she was really sorry, though."

"It's okay," you reply. "I know she works really hard."

"So how are you?" Lisa asks. "Rosé explained what happened."

"I'm fine now," you say. "I just passed out. I was really stressed. That's probably what happened."

You look around the room, realizing that only Jisoo, Lisa, Yoongi, and Jimin are still here. Everyone else had filed out of the room.

"Where is everybody? Did they leave already?" you question.

Yoongi nods. "Most of them had to work. A lot of them have night shifts. Plus visiting hours are almost over."

You nod, understanding. "I guess you guys should go too. I'll see you later, I guess."

"Oh, and I think you might want to check your phone," Jisoo remarks. "I brought it for you."

"Thanks, Jisoo," I say, smiling. "Bye!"

Jisoo waves at me before leaving with Lisa. Jimin whispers something to Yoongi before exiting as well. Yoongi looks over at me and smiles.
