It was too late when it registered in my head. The ball had hit me in the head and it was freaking painful. The last thing I saw was him.
When I woke up my head was throbbing and my eyelids were kinda heavy. After a few minutes I started examining the place and found out it was the clinic. Oh how lovely, note the sarcasm.
"What happened? " I said in a flat tone, head throbbing and weak voice.
"A ball had hit you that's why your in the clinic" the nurse said
"How long dis I went on knock out?" I peered.
"About 4 hours."
"That long?!"
"Yes that long, but not to worry it didn't cause any harm at all. Just a few headaches here and there but you're good." The nurse said.
"Ah! I almost forgot, the man who had hit you is waiting outside " she added.
"Why?" I said curiously.
"Maybe to apologize" the nurse said in an unsure tone.
What the nurse said was true, he was waiting outside. He stood up as soon as he saw me.
"Im sorry about the incident I didn't mean to hurt you , the ball just went off the field " he said sincerely.
"It's okay " I said tiredly
"Really?" He asked
"Really." I said
"Look why don't you go back to your friends, I'm sure their waiting for you. Don't worry there was no harm done." I said finally.
"Im sorry okay. Ill make it up to you someday." He said.
"Ill see you soon." He said finality firm in his voice before leaving.
I went to my room to freshen up. After freshening up, I went to the beach. While walking in the sandy beach of Sydney, I was very fascinated on the beach volley ball game. I decided to join because why not?
Our team leaders made a bet. The bet was if your team loses you have to face a dare or a truth so in other words it's truth or dare. Of course he was on the opposite team.
In the end our team lost the bet during both of the teams deuce, because this guy named Ben slipped on the sand and fell with our 3 aces.
This is how our team tragically lost and how I tragically had to pair up with him, of course it would be him.
"Truth or dare ?" He asked in an amused half dimpled guy smile.
"Dare." I said with all finality.
"I dare you to"
