He dragged me far of the Beach Volleyball court. Shocked by this action my feet were too jelly to react.
"I dare you to ..........." He said in a low voice
"What? I cant hear you its too noisy" I said
" I dare you to be my girlfriend." he said
"Excuse me? Are you drunk?" I asked petrified.
"No I'm not. I'm serious with all my heart and soul." He said.
"You are such a girl."
"You are such a topic changer."
"A. Yes
B. Yas
C. Both a and b
D. All of the above" he asked again.
"You are still such a girl and how about NO."
"Why won't you?"
"Why should I ? give me one good reason."I said in a high tone.
"Then you lose in our little bet " he said in a demanding tone
"So? I care why?" I said in a demanding tone
He inched the spaces between us and whispered reverently into my ears.
"Or else your not so little secret would be dramatically exposed."
"What are you talking about? Are you crazy? High? Or just making this situation a past time for fun?!" I said in a harsh tone
"What if I do." He dared to reply.
"Then you are one rude guy that I will never date nor ever have second thoughts about."
"Are you sure about that babe? You could risk to expose your little secret." He said in a flirty way.
Okay, ew and total flirt alert.
"Think of all the possible tragic things that could happen if everyone knew." He butted out before I could even reply.
I though about what he said, how my life could change drastically. If everyone knew who I really am, it could make my life miserable and fake. It would make things so difficult having all these fake friends who want my paper money. The fact that everyone would know would be such a big turn in my life, a bad turn to be exact.
"If I were you, I'd say I do." He said again.
"I'll give you 5 seconds to think about this. If you keep silent between these 5 seconds you accept my terms and conditions."
What does he even think a relationship is? An apple agreement?
"5" he counted.
Crap what should I do.
"4" he counted again.
Double crap.
"3" he said.
What do I do.
"2" he said slowly.
I NEED MORE FREAKIN TIME.
"1" he said softly.
SHVT
"0" he said proudly.
I sighed, this is too drastic.
"We'll go back, I'll propose my terms and condition blah blah for you to be my girlfriend, you must absolutely say yes."
Again this is not an apple agreement wherein theres terms and agreements.
We got back to the court but this time everyone's eyes glued to us. Eyes of both confusion and amusement.
Then he did the unthinkable, out of nowhere bringing a guitar with him he was singing out to the song 'Give Me Love' by Ed Sheeran. This was too epic that I needed a camera to record this. He was actually good at this singing stuff.
The moment felt like it was just the both of us left at this hot sunny, sticky beach full of different aged audiences.. If it weren't for the girls cooing at how cute he was I would have had stayed at the moment.
He stopped singing, looked me in the eye and smiled his famous dimpled smile "Lily Middleton of Sydney Australia, will you please be my girlfriend?"
That's what it took for all of the girls to scream out and shout like hyenas. My frantic yes was never heard over their roaring coo's of admiration.
And that is the start of why my life turned into a total turn of 360 degrees.
