Triggers: Homophobia

It was the day of the ball, and if everyone in the town was going, Ro was too. He had a chance to see his pretty green eyes again. He was fixing up an old suit his father wore to match his style when his step sister came in and told him to tighten her dress and stitch it up. When she tripped him
"Fix it faster faggot." She said.
"S-sorry Emily." He said. He was sewing it as tightly as he could.
"For one the fag did something right." Rebecca said. Virgil wasn't used to getting compliments so he blushed a bit.

Virgil was putting on the suit, it made him look like a prince. He was so happy. He put it on in awe of what he did. He ran downstairs.
"What in god's name are you wearing?" Delaney said.
"Please can I go to the ball with you?" Virgil begged with a smile.
"No, look at that suit! It's barely falling apart at the seems." Delaney said ripping it. Virgil squeaked as she did. Rebecca, Emily, and Delaney continued to rip apart the suit until there was almost nothing left.
"...how could you?" Virgil said trying not to cry.
"How could I not you look like a filthy little faggot anyway, per usual. Mark my words." She said grabbing his chin. "YOU WILL NOT GO TO THE BALL."

Virgil ran outside and cried where the servants had buried his mother long ago.
"I'm sorry mother, you said to have courage but I don't. I'm just a stupid little fag, why would anyone like me be courageous." Virgil said crying when he saw what looked like his mother on his grave.
"M-mom?" Virgil asked with tears in his eyes.
"It's me." His mom said. "Why would you think those things about yourself. Ro loves you, you don't think you know him as much as you think you do. Patton and Logan love you and most importantly, me and your father are so proud of you. Lets fix you up so you can go to the ball. You know what? Screw gender roles." She whipped up this dress for him

His mother pulled out a mirror for him, and he didn't look like himself

His mother pulled out a mirror for him, and he didn't look like himself.
"Uh, mom? Can you give me some makeup? You know so I don't look too noticeable?" Virgil asked.
"Of course dear" she said giving him this makeup look.

"Oh I almost forgot!" She said giving him these shoes

"Mom... I love this. Thank you so so so so much." Virgil said.
"Now you'll need a horse and carriage to get you there." She said whipping one up for him. He got into the carriage.
"Honey, all of this isn't forever, okay. This will only last until 12:00 am okay." She said. It was only 6:00 pm so he had plenty of time.
"Thank you so much mom, I love you." He said.
"I love you too. Now go find Ro!" His mom said.
