I headed toward the pool area to look for my friends, after thanking Tyler and Josh for helping me out. I scanned the area but did not catch a single glimpse of my friends. So, I decided to call Madison who was to drive us all home, but was filled with disappointment when her phone went straight to voice mail. I quickly composed a text in the group chat, as I started walking to hunt them down.
Y/N: Where're ya'll?
It was almost midnight but the place was still filled. Unable to find them, I stared at my phone for a reply. Suddenly, I felt a grip on my arm and get dragged toward the corner.
"What're y... do...?" My voice was muffled by Pete's hand over my mouth.
"Can we talk?" He asked and I nodded as he still covered my mouth. He smiled and slowly removed his hands.
"There you are." Alyssa chimed with a perky tone. "And we need to leave now." She added, literally snatching me out of Pete's grip. She practically dragged me to the parking, complaining about Raven ditching us to ride with Aaron. "I can't believe, she just met him..." She paused, looking straight at me. "And what were you doing with Wentz?"
"He was just..." My mouth dropped at the sight afront. On the hood of our ride was Madison, roughly making out with another girl.
"Oh my gosh... is that Gina?" Alyssa spoke heatedly, already knowing the answer. Her catechize interrupted Madison and broke apart Gina.
"Of course, you bitch." Gina said pushing Alyssa and walking off. Alyssa is a part of Gina's cheerleading squad and they have some sort of rivalry which never ends. But now, I guess it has reached the next level. Subsequently, Madison smoothens her clothes and wipes off her face while, Alyssa looks at her with rage in her eyes.
"Shall we?" I said hopping into the car, hoping to cut the tension between them. Without a word they both climbed in. The whole drive was silent which made me think of Pete more.
"Thank you Madi, she'll cool down." I said, referring to Alyssa, as Madison drops me.
"I hope so. Goodnight, Y/N." Madison breathed and drives off.
Seriously, Tyler's parties are really something. I smirk at the thought and open the front door of my house. I head straight for my room and fall on my bed as sleep takes over me.

It was a deep blue ocean and the sun was touching the horizon. I felt relaxed and peaceful watching the sunset. But little did I know that, I stood on a cliff that was surrounded with water. Slowly, the rocks beneath me started to slide off and I plopped into the water like a rag doll. All my senses were heightened as the sea water tasted weird around my tongue and I could feel the sting while my lungs were getting filled with water. My vision blurred as all that was around me was water and water. I struggled with all the energy my hands and legs had, to keep me afloat but I was only going deep down and all the darkness surrounded me.
"Y/N... Y/N..." That was the ripple of my name being called, but I could not quite place from where its originating. My body felt numb and I was unable to move but felt something swam past me. I abruptly opened my eyes to see Pete's glistening face in the dark. He came much closer and connected his lips with mine. I was startled with the intensity of the kiss as air rushed into my lungs again. I was breathing. I wanted to be in that moment for as long as I can. However, that didn't last as I felt that my head hit something that I couldn't quite place.
"Y/N... Y/N?" I fluttered my eyes open to see Lucy and Ryan looking down at me. Oh gosh no, it was just a dream. Even though, I was drowning in my dream, it felt good to be kissed by Pete. Why the hell would they wake me up? It was Sunday and I wanted to continue that dream.
Lucy pulled the curtains on the window, filling the room with sunlight as Ryan gave me a bear hug. He was here to pick me and Lucy up to Granny's house. Oh! How much I missed him.
Ryan Ross is my favorite cousin with an appealing smile and dark eyes. He loves playing guitar and has a flawless ability to put make-up. He used to go to West Bridge High with me but now he had moved to the neighboring city. We still frequently make time, to catch up on each other.
"Go get ready, we don't wanna miss Granny's buffet." Ryan said while flopping on my bed as I head for the bathroom.
I don't put much make-up as I simply brush my brown hair with purple highlights down. Subsequently, applying winged eye-liner. I put on a blue floral dress with converse and head out. Ryan and Lucy had been waiting in the car as I rush to the passenger's side. Throughout the drive Ryan and I talk about school and stuff. I want to tell him about Pete but maybe not now, with Lucy in the rear.
"So, how's Bren doin?" Ryan asked, trying to sound casual. But the look on his face showed, regret washing all over his features.
"He's fine." I replied with the same casual tone, just not to make him feel uncomfortable. Ryan changes the subject by focusing on Lucy and other common stuff.
We arrive at Granny's house after a two-hour drive. Before we could even enter the house, a pup came rushing toward us. It was Ned and I gave him a pat as he happily wagged his tail. Ryan carried him as we stepped in the living area. Ned is our newest addition in the family, he is a six-month-old white Labrador. He is adorable and we all love him.
These family gatherings can be hectic at times. But it was okay because I was mostly with Ryan and Ned kept popping up, now and again. The whole day was a drag and at last it was evening. Ryan was supposed to drop me and Lucy, also he would be sleeping over at my house which was exciting.

It had been several hours since we arrived at my house. I had long finished my homework and ate dinner. My parents were already asleep. Ryan and I were still awake, we played games and talked endlessly.
"I like that scarf." Ryan points to the scarf with floral pattern around my neck. Now we were doing a closet fashion show at my room. He was trying on a pair of knee-high boots with heels, which made him walk obnoxiously. For the next hour, we both scurried through my closet and wore various hilarious outfits, one after the other.
"Hey Y/N, whose is this?" He inspected, holding onto a black hoodie which definitely didn't belong to me.
I guess now is the time to tell him everything.
"It's Pete's." I replied.
