Chapter 16

Setosorcerer's POV

We walked through the doors of Starbucks and settled ourselves at a table, I'm guessing Ty hadn't arrived yet, he was nowhere to be seen.

We ordered ourselves a drink, and waited.

"Hey!" I heard, I looked to find the source of the noise, hoping for Ty. We got somebody completely different instead.

"Hi Martin." I said, as Bodil walked towards us, hand in hand with a girl.

"God dangit, why is everyone getting girlfriends now apart from me!" Jordan moaned, interesting to have a tantrum. I cleared my throat and raised my eyebrows at him, causing him to laugh.

"So...who's this?" I ask, a slight smirk on my face.

She had brown hair, with a white streak on the right side of it, she wore a green sorry which had the yin yang symbol in it with a red under shirt. Her eyes were a shade of blue, but also contained grey and brown.

"This is Moon." He said, showing off his girlfriend. She twitched her hand a bit, maybe to wave. She may be a bit shy I think.

They turned around and say down on a table across from us, ordering a drink and all that romantic stuff.

Mark and Rachel on the other hand... Mark was kissing Rachel's hand, I looked away, wanting to get away from all of this.

I'm not able to see the person I love, the only reason I'm here is because I'm meeting a friend that is giving me a chance.

I picked up my drink, stood up and walked to another table, Jordan in pursuit, knowing exactly what I was thinking.

We made ourselves comfortable in our seats, and before long, in strolled Ty, scanning the area and raising his eyebrows at the lovebirds that we were avoiding.

I waved him over and he reluctantly sat down. He crossed his arms on the table and looked me in the eye. He looked at Jordan then back at me, giving me a look.

"He knows, we can talk with him here." I said, Ty leaned back slightly, looking unsure, but talking anyway.

"So, the guys are going out, I think it's to a pub or something like that, but they'll be gone for a while. I refused to go, because, well... I just turned 18 and I'm not ready for that sort of stuff yet. But I was thinking that you could come and explain things to her."

I nodded, liking the idea, but then I remembered something important.

"What was that text about? The one with the..." I lifted my hand up slightly, being careful not to let my own magic slip. My magic is my one biggest secret, maybe I'm ready to tell him?

"Yeah, we'll take this outside." Ty said, grabbing my arm and dragging me outside, ditching Jordan who just shrugged and headed back over to Mark.

Ty lead me to a little alleyway where nobody could see us. He looked around, scanning for anyone, when he found nothing, he began talking.

"She... she had magic, I swear she did, it's like in the books... Am I going crazy?"

I grabbed his shoulders, shaking him out of his little face and stared him in the eye.

"You are not crazy, you definitely aren't. What did she do?"

Ty looked down and sighed.

"Mitch came into your room while I was in there, and we had an argument. I stormed out, but I went back straight away in case she flipped. I saw her start to get angry, and she started to glow, Mitch didn't see her though. She held her hand in front of her and it hit Mitch and knocked him out. She was surrounded by a purple aura, but mixed with red. She looked at me, and she looked scared, like she didn't know she could do that."

I put my hand on his shoulder, trying to calm him down.

"Can I show you something? Promise you won't leave me?"

He looked at me strangely, then hugged me.

"I promise."

I looked down and the four, closed my eyes, and sighed. This is it, my secret is about to be revealed.

I commanded my power to go to my hands, and I felt a familiar sensation rise up in my arms, heading towards my hands.

I heard Ty gasp as I let my power loose, letting it overcome my skin and envelope me in a light purple colour.

"Y...you too?" Ty, backing away slowly.

I looked down at the floor in shame, I shouldn't have kept this from him, it's too big.

A tear fell down Ty's face, and he ran, away from me, away from everybody. I gave chase, hoping not to lose him.

He's one of my best friends, I can't lose him, not like this, not now he knows the truth...
