Desperate Run

Draco walked in a hall, recounting the event of the previous day. His platinum hair glistening because of the dimmed lightning of the candle. He was conflicted between what he taught to do with his experience yesterday. He had so much fun with his mother yesterday at the park. He even play with some muggleborn. the muggleborn are not as bad as his father said. his father drilled to him that muggleborn or in this case mudblood are foul creature that no wizard should associate with. The event yesterday decided to said something else. 

He walked past a room as he heard her parents arguing. 

"You what?!" His father shouted

Draco jumped to his feet, he looked at the door before pressing his ear to the door.

"He needs to go out more often lucius, to make friends. You can't expect him to stay home all the time" Narcissa said

"You took him to the mudbloods play ground" He seethed

"It was the best for him, he needed to be tought about respecting people different than us lucius! not disregarding them!" She shouted back.

" He is meant to be the darklord greatest asset!" He shouted back

Draco's eye widen as his father said that

" He needed to be taught the malfoy's way, he need to be severely punished." He said

Pang of sadness  seep to draco's chesty as his father said that, 'an asset? is that what his father tought of him?' He thought. 

"No lucius, how could you? He's your child" Narcissa pleaded

" Yes i could, in fact i shall go to him right now. The boy must learn" His father said coldly 

Draco's body stiffen as he heard foot stomping to his direction. He didn't have time to react as the door wrenched opened. His body fell forward. as he looked up he was greeted by the cold gaze of his father. His mother looked horrified by the sight of her son. 

"You worthless brat!" Lucius kicked draco on the stomach making him double up in pain

" No!" Narcissa tackled him but as their bodies hit the floor, slammed her head to the wall. 

"Mom!" Draco's screamed and goes to his mother. lucius instantly went to him and pick him up by his collar. 

"You insolent chiled" Lucius punched him again. " How could you associate with that vile creature" 

Draco didn't answer, he let his tear flow freely as he sobbed. Lucius looked disgusted and sneered at him. 

"You needed to be punished" He said coldly 

Draco's didn't do anything, he just accepted his fate. But before his father can do anything, draco heard a scream

"Expeliarmus!" He heard his mother screamed as he saw a white beam. The beam of magic hit his father and rendering him unconscious. Draco's body hit the floor. as he looked up, his mother was pointing her wand at his father and panting heavily.  She put a stunning spell on him before  rushed to draco. 

"Oh draco" His mother hugged him, Draco hugged her back as his tear streamed down his face. 

"Mom" He sobbed. 

They hugged for quite some time before narcissa pulled back. 

"Draco,  we must escape from here" Narcissa began, draco looked at her with a wet face.

" Why mom?" Draco asked

"Your father is going to punish you draco" She said sadly, Draco was instanly horrified.  

"Why mom?" He sobbed even harder.

"Your father thought it was best for you to not associate with muggle born. He was going to torture you horribly draco, i can't let him do that to you" She run her hand on his hair. as he sobbed even harder.

"Listen to me sweety, i'm going to apparate us away. You will feel a bit wobbly considering it will be your first, can you handle that?" His mother said to him. He just weakly nodded. 

Narcissa nodded at him before grabbed his hand. Their body was instantly vanished from the room. 

Draco was feeling dizzy when they ended up on a similar park that his mother brought him yesterday. It was dark with only a few lights were on. there was nobody around except him and his mother. he felt sadness seeping through his body as he recalled the event earlier. He felt tears sprang into his eye, before he know it he was sobbing again. 

His mother was hugging and soothing him the boy. they stay like that for some time before his mother pulled away.

"Draco, listen to me" His mother began. 

He looked at her " You must go on your own from now" His mother said solemnly. Draco's eye widen at her word. " B-but why?" He stuttered

"I put a temporary binding spell on lucius, the spell will die out soon. He can sense where we apparate as of right now draco." She said as draco's breath hitch. He embrace her son lovingly.

"I can't let him get to you, not when i'm here to protect you sweetheart." She said soothingly. 

"I..i can't mom. I need you." He stuttered. 

"Yes you can sweetheart, i know you can." She said gently. as draco cried even harder. 

They were interrupted with an apparating noise behind them. They glanced at the sound. An enraged looking lucius was looking at them.  Narcissa put herself in front of Draco protectively 

" Listen, you must go now" Narcissa said to him. 

Draco looked at his mother "No, mom! i won't go without you" 

"Draco, don't worry about me. i shall take care of him." His mother looked at advancing lucius. 

" I love you draco, Go now" His mother said in a serius tone. 

Draco took a few step back, hesitated to leave his mother. Before he knew it her mother threw her body in front of him and create a spell-shield just as a beam was aimed to him

"GO Draco," His mother shouted to him. 

Draco finally turned as he broke into a run. He ran as fast as he could, not caring of what direction he goes into. He turned at the intersection, and turning again at another, and another, and another. his legs starting to gave in as he slowed his pace. He glanced around himself as he saw he was in a housing area. He tripped on something then his body fell. his breathing was laboured as he looked up to a starry sky. his vision was blurry as he gave in into his fatigue.

He felt his eyelids as the feeling of tiredness seeping through him. He slowly let his eyes flutter close as he gave in into blackness.
