Part XXI

The next day, you couldn't compress the happiness that everyone noticed it. You greeted everyone good day with your best smile.

"Good morning, darling. You're in a good mood today." Jude greeted, pulling you into an embrace.

"Maybe I woke up on the right side of the bed." You told him.

"Or" Jude emphasized the word "you woke up next to Tom."

"No, he went home." You covered your mouth like you just said something that you shouldn't say.

"I knew it! He is the reason why you're in such a good mode." Jude said in an ah-ha tone.

"Just so you know nothing happened to us last night. I got home, he was there in my doorstep, out in the cold. He was waiting for me so I invited him in and we talked while we drink tea." You explained but the way he looked at you know that he doesn't believe you "Fine, maybe he kissed me before we get into my house and cuddle but I assure you we didn't have coitus."

"Alright, fine, I will believe that nothing happened but did he say something?" Jude asked.

"Why it feels like you know already what happened?" You asked raising a brow.

"A man will only go to a woman's place if one he will have sex with her, two he needs to say something important." Jude answered.

"That makes sense." You respond then you couldn't help but smile again "Tom told me that he loves me." You said smiling ear to ear.

"I'm so happy for you." Jude pulled you for another tight hug "That's so great. How did he say it? Wait, you didn't say you love him too, right." He added pulling you away from him.

"No, I didn't say it yet. He said that he wants to go through the courtship stage because he wants to prove that he is serious." you said thinking about Tom's exact words.

Jude tried to get more details from you the entire day. He seems more excited about it than you, telling you what should be your next step but you told him to relax and you just want to enjoy the moment.

Tom never forgets to greet you good morning or to ask about your day and every time your phone rings you couldn't help but feel excited.

"For God sake, it is freaking early!" you grunt walking towards your door, it was your day off and you just want to sleep all day. Opening the door, the knot in your forehead vanished and your lips turned into smile "Tom, what are you doing here?"

"I'm here because I want to see you," Tom answered smiling at you which you returned.

"I see, good morning." You said making a way for him.

"Good morning." Tom kissed you on the cheek before getting in.

"So, What brings you here?" You asked trying to hide your blush.

"You," Tom answered and thanked God you were facing his back. You can feel the blood rushing into your cheeks "And maybe we can have breakfast." he asked facing you.

"That sounds fun." you said with a smile "Sure, I feel kinda hungry. Give me 5 minutes to change and we can go."

"Sounds great." Tom response.

You went upstairs to your room and change when your doorbell rang again so you asked Tom to get it and he doesn't look happy when he opened the door.

"Jude, good morning." Tom casually greeted.

"Good morning, Tom." Jude greeted him with a cheerful smile even he was not expecting to see him there.

"Tom, who was it?" you asked and saw Tom and Jude, intensely looking at each other, you can feel the tension building up.

"Hello, darling." Jude walked pass Tom and give you a tight hug.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" You asked.

"Well, it is our day off and I was hoping that we can have breakfast. Remember, you still owe me one." Jude said and by the way, he smiles he is up to something.

"Sorry to interop you, Jude but [Y/N] and I already have a plan," Tom said walking towards you two.

"I see but I don't think [Y/N] will just push me away." Jude response facing Tom and the tension just went up. Jude's acting was really good, you can see that Tom was getting pissed off.

"How about we all have breakfast together. I know this really good cafe just a few blocks away." You said trying to lessen the tension.

"That's a wonderful idea, [Y/N]." Jude immediately agreed, making Tom arched a brow.

"Yes, of course, Jude you can join us for breakfast," Tom said forcefully smiling at Jude.
"Great, now we can go," you said tapping them both in the arm "Let's go."

You lead the way as the two men stared at each other with a dagger look. You can already feel that breakfast will be a long awkward one.

"Table for three?" asked the waitress.

"Yes, and somewhere that is not suffocating." You said whispering the last part.

"I'm sorry, what?" The waitress asked again.

"Maybe the table outside." You said smiling. She brought you to a table outside the cafe, under a perfect shade. Each man tried to pull a chair for you but you decided to get the chair on your own.
"Just call me when you're ready to order." The waitress said smiling.

"Thanks." You respond then whispered "Or if we need a medic."
