Alpha
ALPHAS are dominant, "tops" or masculine. They have red eyes and can shift into an actual wolf. They have "knots" which is a bulb inside their penis (female alpha's knot is located on their clit, it hooks onto their mate's genitals) that when erect can swell and become "knotted" into their mate, not allowing them to pull out for better chances of pregnancy. Alphas can only knot with one person in their lifetime, their mate, so if their mate dies they'll never knot with anyone ever again. Their perfect mate is an Omega but they can be mated to a Beta but never another Alpha.
Beta
BETAS are neither dominant or submissive. When mates are both Betas, either one can "top", its not the same person every time. They have yellow eyes and they're the most similar to normal humans.
Omega
OMEGAS are submissive, "bottoms" or feminine. They have yellow eyes like Betas. Both male and female omegas can get pregnant, but they can only carry the child of their mate. If Omegas become pregnant with someone who isn't their mate, they'll a miscarriage before the first trimester. Omegas produce the "slick" meaning self lubrication. All Omegas have periods but male Omegas don't bleed instead they produce breast milk. The pressure is very painful and if their mate is an Alpha, then the Alpha will consume the breast milk to relieve their mate and its pleasurable for both the Alpha and Omega. They feel deeper than everyone else and have a special connection with nature. They can even connect the Moon Goddess under extreme circumstances. Omegas are made for their Alphas but they can be mated to a Beta just never another Omega.
Fated pairs don't exist in this book. There's only mates, everyone has one mate in their entire lifetime that's exactly perfect for them.
