Clary POV

(Beep Beep Beep Beep. SMACK!)

I may have just beat up my alarm clock, but it had it coming. I really didn't want to go to school, Starting a new school is always awful but at least i had some friends there was Simon of course, Jon, Alec, Izzy (I guess we were friends?), Sebastian obviously and Jace. I wouldn't let dad distract me from my school work, he wouldn't want that anyway, he wouldn't want me to be miserable and so i was going to try my best not to be but it just felt like a piece of me was missing all the time, ever since he had died. I sighed audibly climbing out of bed and throwing on light blue high waisted shorts and a burgundy crop top just showing off a bit of my flat stomach then threw my favourite studded leather jacket over it, i fixed my hair into a messy bun too tired to do anything else with it then pulled on some white trainer socks and my white converse that were actually better described as a sort of dirty cream colour id worn them that much, ugh well. I put on the tiniest bit of mascara and clear lip gloss just to give my lips some shine, i actually looked quite nice, i loved the natural look. I quickly grabbed my school bag i had fixed the night before and headed downstairs, i was almost trampled by a half naked Jonathan when i reached the bottom, he must have just woke up? "Hurry up Jon! I don't wanna be late on the first day!" I yelled up the stairs hearing him trip over something, i shook my head, maybe if his room wasn't such a pig sty he would be able to move around in it? God brothers are disgusting. I sat on the couch while mum shuffled around in the kitchen making coffee for her and Luke before work, i heard her giggle as he grabbed her around the waist kissing her full on the lips before grabbing his coffee in his portable cup and heading off to the book shop, i rolled my eyes at them, cute as they are, its still kind of gross. Suddenly there was a massive bang as Jon leaped down about 6 steps and flung the front door open "Bye Mom! Bye Luke!" He screamed heading downstairs with me on his heels clicking the door shut behind me and running to the car, i quickly checked the time on my phone 8:34 am, Damn it! it was going to take us 20 minutes to get there if there wasn't any traffic and i still had to get my schedule "Step on it Fray!" I yelled pointing into the distance comically while Jon chuckled and the car came to life.

{At School}

We got there with 10 minutes to spare! although i wouldn't exactly call Jon's driving safe... At least we were still in one piece. Simon was waiting for me by the office that was just through the main doors he ran up to me looking slightly pissed off "I had to find out from Isabelle Lightwood! Isabelle freaking Lightwood that my Best friend! Was dating Sebastian! And she heard it off Alec!" he snapped making me blush when i realized people were staring "Simon, look I'm sorry it only happened a few days ago i was going to tell you today actually, please don't be mad." I pleaded, his safe softened before he pulled me into a hug "You don't waste any time do you Fray?" I felt him shake as he laughed, i rolled my eyes "Yeah, and don't give me whole 'If he hurts you speech' because he's really sweet he wouldn't do that" i assured him with a smile, he just smirked at me "Clary i of all people know you are more than capable of killing him yourself if he did that" "Now hurry and go get your schedule and locker key we only have a few minutes before the bell" I nodded heading towards the office getting my schedule and oddly shaped key for my locker, thankfully the lockers were beside the office because i really didn't have time to go find them. I found it taking my notebook and pencil case from my bag before putting my bag in the locker and slammed it shut locking it "Sup gorgeous" I jumped not realizing Sebastian was behind the door "Holy shit! you scared the crap outta me" i said slapping his arm laughing, he smiled straightening up from leaning on the lockers and put his hands on my hips, pressing his lips lightly against mine, the bell stopping him from deepening the kiss, i put my arms around his neck smiling "See you at lunch?" He nodded, i gave him a quick hug before running down the hall to get Simon who was leaning against his locker "What you in first?" He asked, i grabbed my schedule moaning "Ugh, Maths first." I said stuffing it back in my jacket pocket, "Me too" he said holding out his arm for me to take, i slid mine through his and we walked to class together way to happily considering it was maths we were headed to.
