A/N: dogs > cats
Ok so the photo is just a few songs from the playlist I listened to while writing... I hope you get the feel of this chapter. :)

I was so grateful for all the friends I had. Sure, there were only four, really, but I couldn't imagine a better group of people.
Today was my last day in Sydney. I still couldn't believe it. I had lived here my whole life, this place was my home. I couldn't understand how my dad could just up and leave so easily, and give me so little time to get used to the fact that this is only temporary.
Taylor and Calum offered to let me live with them for the year, and even their parents agreed. But unfortunately, my dad flat out refused. His argument was that I had to see more of the country I lived in, and that he had already enrolled me in a school over there. I had argued and argued but to no avail. I was moving and there was nothing I could do about it.
Currently, I was trying not to think about it. It was easily 11pm and I was still awake, despite the fact that I would begin my trip across the country tomorrow, in the early hours of morning.
We were all together again, sitting on our sleeping bags in my backyard. It had been Ashton's idea for us to "camp out", and it's not like we had much of a choice since all my furniture was safely packed away in the moving truck.
I sighed softly, lying down on my back and staring straight up at the dark sky. There were a few stars spattered across the indigo infinity and the moon was almost full, shining its light down on all five of us. Michael was sitting cross legged, strumming a song on his guitar and humming along, while Ashton and Taylor chattered happily, sharing a bag of chips. Calum was also looking up at the sky, but he was propped up on his elbows, our legs brushing ever so slightly.
"Sometimes I wish I didn't live in a city," I whispered softly, but I was glad to see that he turned his head to look at me, indicating that he had heard me. I gave him a small smile. "We can barely see the stars from here."
"That's not true," he whispered back, turning over onto his stomach and holding his head up in his hands. "I can see hundreds from here."
I gave him a weird look, raising an eyebrow. "You're not even looking at the sky."
"I don't have to," he answered, grinning widely as he edged over to me slightly. He moved one hand and pulled me closer to im so that he was hovering over me, much like that wonderful day in the park, those many months ago. "All the stars I could ever want are right here, shining in your eyes."
I attempted to roll my eyes but I was smiling so hard that I couldn't bring myself to. "You're so corny," I mumbled as he leaned closer to me.
"And you love me for it," he giggled back, poking my side, causing me to squeak and direct everyone's attention towards us.
"Guys, let's try to keep it PG-13," Ashton giggled, shaking his head. "I wanna keep my innocence!"
Calum shook his head, flipping Ashton off. "As if we'd do anything with you pervs around."
"It's now or never mate, just let us know if you need to be censored," he giggled again, turning back around to continue his conversation with Taylor.
Now or never... Definitely not now. But... Never?
As if reading my thoughts, Calum poked my nose, bringing my attention back to him. "Don't listen to him. It's not like I'm never going to see you again."
"But..." I sighed, lazily draping an arm over his neck. "But what if... I don't know. What are we going to do, Calum?"
"What do you mean, love?" he asked quietly, laying down beside me.
