In the next morning, the cheerful beams of sunlight woke Casper as if he were in his own room. However he was surprised to find that he was still lying in Stretch's bed within the Trio's room. But he was even more shocked that none of them were anywhere to be seen. Confusion tugged at his tail-point while the little ghost flew down to the first floor of Whipstaff, puzzled at why they had woken up so early for once. He even thought that perhaps he was dreaming when he smelled a delicious aroma coming from the kitchen. As soon as he flew into the room, he was greeted by his three jolly uncles. “Morning, Casper!” They greeted in unison, all wearing chef hats and aprons, even baking gloves as they stood in front of the stove and oven. The young ghost pinched himself in order to double check with his senses. He wasn't dreaming at all. “Morning, guys-” He was cut off when the three quickly grabbed him and sat him in a seat at the dining table, and his face instantly brightened at the sight. The table was covered almost to the brim with carefully prepared food, and the boy was so amazed that he didn't even notice his mouth watering. “You..you guys did this?”
“Well, I don't like to brag or anything shortsheet, but as a matter of a fact we did!” Stretch smiled proudly while tying a dining scarf onto his hungry nephew before sitting to join his brothers. “It all looks delish!” Casper exclaimed, while adding some to his plate. “Good! Cuz we're gonna stuff ya til we think you've got enough to fuel ya for the big day ahead of us, right boys?” Stretch explained with a chuckle. “Uh, huh..” Stinkie and Fatso agreed in unison. Casper chuckled. “Yeah, no problem!” He replied after already swallowing a forkful of pancake. “What's gonna be our big day, huh?” He then asked, his shining eyes giving away his excitement. “We dun wanna give away too much but we were thinking that all of us could go watch some horse racin’..” Stretch explained with a smirk. “And then go to the movies..” Stinkie added.
“Oh and then go to that Italian restaurant over in Italy!” Fatso included, swallowing the whole plate of food in front of him in one bite. “Well where else would an Italian restaurant be, ya chubby chum?” Stretch pointed out.
“How ‘bout in Sicily?”
“Slap him for me, will ya, Stink?”
“Will do, Stretcheroo!” Stinkie spun his rounder brother's head around his finger. “Stretcheroo? What the heck is that?” The eldest brother questioned. Meanwhile Casper laughed good naturedly. And later that day, Casper and the Trio did everything they mentioned that day and even more. In fact they made such a good team that Stretch was willing to call them a Ghostly Quartet, only his uncles respected that Casper still didn't like to scare the living. They even found that their being a happy family together was a recurring event from their past lives too, this time the recurring was finally for the better. There was also an important lesson that Casper learned after everything that recently occurred. It wasn’t only his father that was capable of loving him, he had his uncles too. Despite them being family, his uncles just expressed their love and caring for their nephew in a different matter. That was when he knew for sure that his afterlife, and the Trio’s as well, was certainly going to change for the better.
