Daryl Dixon:
I scarfed down the breakfast Carol had made for all of us before heading down to the front gate, my large pregnant belly causing my walk to become more of a waddle. "How're you feeling?" Rick asked me with a smile as he passed by me, I grinned back at him. "Great!" I chirped, continuing on to my watch post. A sharp stabbing pain shot through my stomach, a scream erupted from my lips as I dropped to the ground. "Y/n!" Rick's voice yelled from behind me. I could hear more people yelling for me but I tried to focus on my breathing. I held my stomach and took deep breaths. "Get Hershel and Daryl!!" Someone yelled, in a moment I was surrounded. Rick lifted me easily, carrying me inside the cell block quickly and setting me on my bed. Hershel came hobbling in after us and began shouting orders to Maggie and Beth. "Where's Daryl?" I mumbled not seeing his face among the crowd. "He went on a run about an hour ago, Glenn just left to try to find him. He told us where he was going" Maggie said in a strong voice, I nodded, another contraction shooting through my body. I suppressed a cry in pain, trying to keep my noise to a minimum just in case I could attract the walkers outside. "What can we do for her?" Michonne asked, stepping forward. "Water and towels, and give her some room. Everyone needs to wait outside." Hershel stated.
An hour passed before I heard someone yell "They're back!" Relief immediately washed over me, I knew he wouldn't miss this. "Where is she?" I heard him yell as his loud boots rushed up the stairs. "Daryl!" I called out to him, he turned into the cell and dropped to his knees beside the bed, taking my hand. "Are you okay? What can I do? How much longer?" He asked, his frantic gaze shifting between me and Hershel. "I'm fine, darlin. I don't need anything, just time." I smiled at him reassuringly. "She's most of the way there now, should be any minute now," Hershel told him, placing a hand on his shoulder. Daryl gave a sharp nod and looked me over "I love you" his gruff voice said lowly. I placed my hand on his cheek softly "Always baby" I said just before a big contraction hit, I screamed out in pain. Hershel grabbed my legs and said, "it's time, I need you to push!" I pushed as hard as I could, pain wrenching through my body. "Shit" I breathed out, sweat running down my face. "Come one, again" Hershel instructed,
I squeezed my eyes shut and pushed once more, screaming out. Daryl held my hand, squeezing it hard, "you can do this, come on. Push" his voice was drowned out by another wave of my screams, shortly followed by the loud cries of my beautiful baby. My vision blurred as I tried to see, "it's a boy" Hershel said with a smile. I grinned and my vision faded.

Carl Grimes:
I stirred the pasta in the boiling water on the stove, checking on the sauce once more too. Judith sat on the floor with her toys watching me cook dinner for all of us. I bent to check the bread in the oven and felt a sharp pain shoot through my uterus, I gasped and shouted "Carl!" I held my large swollen belly as I sank to the floor. Judith jumped up and came over to me "what's wrong" she panicked as Carl came running around the corner. "Right now? Oh shit! Can you walk?" He asked unsure of what to do, I nodded feeling the pain slowly dissipate. "Let's walk over to Denise, okay?" He said, trying to keep his voice calm. "Come on Judith" he instructed as he gripped my arms and gently helped me up. We walked slowly through the neighborhood to Denise's house, as we walked up the front steps another wave of pain shot through me. I cried out and clung to Carl to keep from falling, he held me tightly "it's okay, we're almost there." He soothed. Denise's door shot open and a look of shock covered her face. "Oh, it's time!" She exclaimed leading Carl and I into the office and helping me up onto the table. I laid back, trying to control my breathing as Denise rushed around the room getting everything ready. She pulled on a pair of gloves and instructed me to spread my legs. "It doesn't look like your very dilated yet, I'm not sure how long it will be. It varies between women but I'll keep checking on you" she said sending me a reassuring smile. I nodded and looked at Carl "we have to let everyone know" I said with a soft smile, he nodded. "I think I have a little while, you should go tell them" I continued. He nodded softly and turned to Judith "you watch over her okay? Make sure she's okay" he ordered playfully, I giggled as she nodded seriously, running over to my bedside and climbing up to sit next to me.
After what felt like hours of painful contractions Denise said I was finally ready to push, everyone but Carl and Denise left the room. I drew a shaky breath and grabbed Carl's hand as I pushed as hard as I could, crying out from the pain. "Again" Denise called, " you're doing great" she encouraged. I pushed again and again until finally someone else's cries mixed with my own. A small beautiful cry "she's a girl!" Denise said with a grin, letting Carl cut the umbilical cord. After wiping her off gently Denise handed me the small child in a soft blanket Carl had brought for her. I held her gently, supporting her head. She had a full head of brown hair, I laughed softly feeling tears run down my face. Her blue eyes staring back at me " she's so perfect" Carl whispered to me and kissed my temple, gently stroking her tiny cheek with his finger.
