" 'WARS AND FIGHTS UNPREVENT,' so, like, wars that were going to happen no matter what, 'are only won with one intent,' so, they can only be won if they have the same intent, whatever that would be," Aaron said.
"Yah," Mackenzie agreed. "Also, 'Chaos' last blow will obliterate all, lest one hero make it fall' which means, everyone's dead unless one person prevents it. You know what? I see the relationship."
"Between my dad and I?" Nathan asked.
"Mhm."
"And what would that be?" I asked.
"They're both hopelessly unhelpful!"
"Hey!" Nathan shouted, and charged her, but Aaron held him back.
"Ahh!" I screamed and fell to my knees. Everyone went silent.
Nathan said, "Koa? Koa, are you okay?"
My head was ringing. The world was spinning. I tried to stand, but it was hard when I didn't know which direction was up. Suddenly, Mackenzie was at my side, helping support my weight, and lift me up.
"Whoa, are you absolutely sure you're okay?" Mackenzie asked, concerned.
"Y-y-yah. I guess I'm just a bit flustered with all of this. I should get some rest."
"But we need to keep moving, and make sense of everything!" Aaron pointed out.
Nathan glanced at Aaron, Mackenzie, and then me. "We could catch a flight, and rest on it. Compromise."
"Where?" Mackenzie asked.
"I bet fifty bucks we're needed in California. Bay area."
"Why—?" she started, then traced his pointing finger to a TV screen with news on it. "Oh... my... gosh...."
