WE ARRIVED AT A LAKE.
Mackenzie stepped out and said to the lake, "Kanaloa, Laamaomao, Wakea, Kapua!"
I stared at her.  "What the heck, lady? You're sure you aren't crazy?"
''The code," she said.  "My dad is Kanaloa, god of the sea, Aaron's dad is Laamaomao, god of the winds, and Nathan's dad is Wakea, Father Earth and kapua is the term for Hawaiian demigods.  We are all kapua, even you.  I look forward to finding out who you parent is, do you know?''
"My babysitter was Pele, I never knew my mom, and my dad died," I said.
"You're Koa... um, last name?"
"Kinai," I said.
"Cool! Kinai is Hawaiian for fighter!  Um.  Sorry, you probably knew that. My dad taught me a lot of Polynesian. Anyways, I, Mackenzie daughter of Kanaloa, grant Koa Kinai permission to enter school property!"
To my surprise, a metal box the size of an elevator floated to us, and the doors opened.  My new friends walked in, so I followed.

The box zoomed downward, then came to a stop.  We all walked out, and I was in shock.  There were paths winding everywhere, and there was a glass - or so it looked - roof over it all, so you could see the sun and water, but you could also breathe.  There was a town with small houses, and each were the size of an apartment room, and there was one giant house.
"Where do you guys stay?" I asked.
Mackenzie answered: "Nathan stays in Dorm #22, Aaron stays at dorm #23, I stay at dorm #17, and you'll stay at the Guest House until we find your parent.  Now, let's get you settled."
We walked until we hit a fork in the road.  The sign read:

<<- INFIRMITY              DORMS ->>
<- GUEST HOUSE     WEAPONRY ->

Then, we headed left to the Guest House.
