*3 years ago*I throw down my lacrosse stick and drop onto the turf, my best friend Chloe following.
"That was intense" i blow out.
"Yea why did we even do that it's not like we're going to be playing anytime soon" i sigh at this and close my eyes. I feel the sun beating down on my face. I hate it. Well not necessarily the sun, just the fact that it's making me sweat. I hate sweating.
"Can you believe we're graduating high school tomorrow"
"Ugh don't remind me" i whine out.
Don't get me wrong, i definitely wanted to graduate high school, i mean who would want to stay here? I however, did not want to face whats to come."oh come on Lu, these next two years are gonna fly by and we still have the summer"
"don't start with that again Chlo, you're gonna be experiencing all these things while i'm stuck here with my family attending community college"
The day my parents broke the news to me that my academic scholarship wasn't enough to send me to our state college i cried, all night. It was one of the many downsides of having 5 siblings. The first borns have it nice and basically me and the twins get screwed over. Koby had just met the mark with his athletic scholarship and is at a D1 school a state over.
"Ok but you can still visit me and we can have weekend sleepovers" thats Chloe for you, she was fairly optimistic, i'm not really pessimistic but this subject just really hit home.
"Visit? Chlo its an hour and 45 minute drive"
"You wouldn't make that trip for me" she said pouting. I rolled my eyes and pushed her away as she tried to give me a sweaty hug.
We get up and collect our equipment. As we exit the field we run into him.
Theodore Adams, the arrogant athletic star playboy that every girl obsesses over, also the dick i was being forced to sit next to tomorrow on my grad day. Can you feel my fury?
"Oh God" i mutter, Chloe's head pops up at this, she spots him as well and chuckles.
"Oh look its your boyfriend" she teases dragging out the word boyfriend.
"Shut it" i bight back.
Hopefully we can just walk by and act like we aren't mortal enemies. Just this once.
"Advani!"
I guess not.
"Adams!" i say plastering a fake smile on my face. He was with his best friend Kai, who i actually like so i give him an actual smile.
"What are you doing here on this fine day" he says with fake care dripping off of his lips.
"Oh you know, just getting my nails done" i say sarcastically while holding up my lacrosse stick.
"Okay loser, well we're here putting in work cause you know the grind never stops" he says smirking.
No he didn't.
I all but burst out laughing but compose myself. Who the hell says that off of the internet?
"Dude who the hell even says that?" Kai questions with a look of disgust.
"bro what the hell you laughed at it yesterday"
"yea, in private"
"you guys are a mess" Chloe observed, you took the words right out of my mouth Chlo.
I nodded at my best friend which resulted in Theodore rolling his eyes.
"oh please we are the superior duo" Kai said.
