Today, Bangkok, Thailand, 2040

"So we're here." Kit looked out to the window. He smiled, eyes were shining brightly. "You want me to go with you inside?" Kit turned to the man who was older than his parents beside him. He smiled.

"It's okay, por. I will go on my own. No need to worry, plus mae is waiting for you to go back and help at the bakery." Kit said smiling, talking in flawless Thai. He still remembered how shocked his dad when he talked in the said language while video-calling his new family to get know each other. While his parents knew he learned his supposed-to-be mother tongue in school – he applied for a language class, they didn't know that Kit precisely excelled the language. Perhaps it was in his blood, the language is his home language anyway so he mastered it effortlessly.

It was just three weeks ago he met in flesh with the family that his parents entrusted him to while he's in Thailand. The family was so loving and kind, and he instantly accepted into the family. The old couple is so nice, the brother is caring and he clicked with the younger sister quite well. You could say it's his second adopted family as he took their family name for his ID of this country. Kit stepped out from the car with his bag after hugging the man.

"Call me when your class ended. Be careful, don't get into problem."

"Krub, por! Safe driving." Kit waved his hand. The man waved back and drove away after Kit turned to walk towards the building. There were many people around in which he's sure most of them were freshmen like him.

Today was his first day as a degree student. Kit read the letters that craved at the entrance of the building. Faculty of Economics, Kasetsart University. He smiled. Even it wasn't really his forte, Kit chose economics because other than music he loved numbers and analysis. Also he thought maybe he could help his parents with this course, maybe. Talking about his parents, he suddenly missed his dad and father. He vowed to call them later.

"First year?" Kit was greeted by someone. He nodded. The girl smiled. "You can go through the hallway na, the registration hall is at the end of it." The girl said. Kit smiled.

"Ah, kop khun na krub." Kit bowed slightly and was grateful with the help even though he didn't really need it because he wasn't lost. He proceeded to walk, following after few people in white uniform going to the same direction as him. Kit looked around and just smiled. Seems like some of them already made friends. Kit hoped he will make a friend soon.

"What's your name, kha?" A girl who sat at the registration table asked Kit when it's his time.

"Choi Ki-an..." Kit frowned after the name left his mouth. "Eh, mai chai. Kit Sangpotirat, krub." Kit smiled shyly for his mistake. The girl just smiled while searching for the name. Once she found it, she ticked on it and wrote a number before proceeded to take a square paper with rope to write the same number at the bottom of it. She passed it to Kit with a paper.

"This is your name tag and the schedule, nong. The number is your student ID, remember to memorize it. You can write the nickname you wanted to be called on the tag, and you're obligate to wear the tag for all the freshmen gathering as stated on the schedule. I hope you won't miss any of it." The girl said politely. Kit received the things while thanking her with a wai. Kit had accustomed with the culture here, wai is the important gesture to show politeness.

Kit proceeded to walk into the hall and saw many people already inside. It wasn't a big hall, medium-sized and it's actually a lecture hall that could accommodate around 300 students. He looked around to find a seat when someone tapped his back. Kit startled and turned. A guy who was slightly taller than him smiled to him. "What's your name?"
