7 Years Is Too Long (PT I)|•| Erza x OC

A/N okay so it isn't really an oc because it's my favorite character (the handsome man above ^^) from an amazing visual novel, but then I suddenly got inspired to write this with him and Erza... so... I did 😂

Also, may unpublish these later... don't know how much I like them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lucy sat at the bar, conversing with Mirajane as two male guild members stood, attempting to talk with Erza, but she was too busy eating a strawberry cake to care. After being ignored for a bit, they gave up and sulked elsewhere. Lucy then turned towards Mira, somewhat confused.

"Does Erza not like anyone? She never seems to be interested in any men, or even anybody for that matter" Lucy asked as she turned her brown, doe-like eyes away from staring at the red head

"No, she does. In fact, she has a crush" Mira responded, not looking up from the dish she was wiping off

"What?!" Lucy was shocked for a minute before realization hit her and she smiled "Its Jellal, isn't it?"

"Nope" Mirajane answered simply, grabbing another dish to wipe down "She thinks of Jellal as a brother, that's all"

"Huh!!?" Lucy was astonished. Who could it be then? Jellal was the only person who she could even consider Erza possibly liking "Then who?"

"You might see him around here sometime, he enjoys the guild despite it not being the atmosphere he's typically surrounded by" Mira said, remaining to be cryptic

"Oh? So what magic does he use?" Lucy pressed, even more curious now

"None, he's not a member of the guild, nor a mage even. He's from Queens Coast" Mira replied, leaving Lucy dumbfounded

"How could someone NOT use magic?" She asked rhetorically as Mira quickly borrowed a pen from Reedus and began to draw a map of 5 countries, one being surround by little islands

"This is Fiore" Mira stated, pointing to the smallest of the five "We're the only one to use magic and, because of our lack of size, we tend to isolate ourselves from the rest of the larger countries"

"That's Saint Cross" She then pointed to the largest country, before placing the pen above the second largest that is still substantially smaller than Saint Cross "That's Queens Coast, they're on the brink of war with Saint Cross. Despite them being much smaller, they're still incredibly powerful and have quite the influential queen, she's the one that keeps picking a fight with Saint Cross."

Mira then pointed to the other country that's about the same size as Queens Coast "That's the Federal Republic of Isse, they're currently in a very shaky alliance with Saint Cross. They had been at war with Queens Coast for about a hundred years, it only just ended recently, maybe a decade ago

"That's the Yamato Commonwealth, they're a collection of many small nations, some are being colonized by Saint Cross" Mira stated pointing to the one surrounded by a large amount of smaller islands and then she started to erase her map before continuing "As I said before, we isolate ourselves since we have magic, none of the others do"

"Oh..." Lucy started to suck in all the information when something dawned on her "How did they meet then?"

"He was born as a middle child into a very poor family of 13 in Queens Coast. With his family having to deal with so many mouths to feed, he began to wander the streets hoping to find food or a job. That's when he came across a very cynical scientist who offered him a shelter. That shelter ended up to be the Tower of Heaven" Mira explained sadly as she handed Reedus back his pen "After all that happened, Erza begged him to come with her to Fairy Tail. And he did, but only for a couple years since he felt there was nothing he could do here with no magic to his name. Because he was a couple years older than Erza, he was able to leave and become a pirate-"
