Joes POV
Nothing seems better then just stacking up books, am I right? No, as much as I love Mooney's, it gets pretty boring. I was stacking some books in the Thriller section when I heard the bells ring, signaling that someone had walked in. I looked up, only to see you.
Hello there. I've never seen you around. Either you're new in town or you've never been to Mooney's. Judging by the way you're walking, you're in a happy mood. You have a smile on your face and your eyes shine with character. There's something about you that just seems so....different. You seem to be picky when it comes to certain things, especially books. Picking up one book, looking at it for a few seconds, and then putting it back in its spot. You would repeat this action over and over again. I can tell you're getting frustrated. You seem to have in mine what you're looking for, but you just can't seem find it. Maybe I can be of assistance? But, I'll let you come to me.
(Y/N) POV
Living in New York has always been a dream of yours and now it's finally coming true. You were exploring your neighborhood, when you spotted a bookstore called Mooney's. You've never heard of the bookstore and decided to go in. Who knows, maybe there's something in there that will change your life. Yeah, sure. You rolled your eyes, laughing at how stupid you sounded. You then entered the shop.
The bookstore looked old but it fascinated you in such a way that you couldn't describe it. It had this warm home feeling to it and it made you feel fuzzy inside. You smiled at how many books there were. But the question was, what were you looking for?
You decided to walk around a bit, looking at different genres of books. Picking up a book, reading the back, but not being satisfied with it. After a couple of minutes, you got frustrated and decided to go look for help from an employee. You walked around, trying to find an employee, when you came across a Dark-brown haired man who looked like he worked at the bookstore.
"Excuse me, I was wondering if you could help me with something," you said to the man. The man turned around and you couldn't help but blush a bit. There was no doubt that this man was very handsome, but there was something about him that made him stand out. You just couldn't put your finger on what it was. "Hello?" Said the man, as he waved a hand in front of your face. Your eyes widened a bit, realizing you've been staring at the man for the past minute. "Oh, sorry about that, I was just wondering if you could help me find something today," you said as you felt the heat rising in your cheeks. The man laughed and asked you what you needed help with. You told him about how you're having trouble finding a book that fits your interest. The man looked at you for a minute before going over to the (genre) section. "I feel like this could be what you're looking for," the man said as he handed you a book. You looked at the book and fell in love with it. It truly was what you were looking for. You smile and nodded at the man, thanking him. The man smiled at you and told you he would ring you up.
After you paid for the book, you decided to thank the man. "Thank you so much.....Joe," you said to him, squinting to see his name tag. "The pleasure was all mine....?" "Oh, it's (y/n)." "A beautiful name for a beautiful girl." You couldn't help but blush at his compliment. "Well, it was nice meeting you Joe." "As with you, (y/n)." You turned around and started to walk out of the store. You couldn't help but smile, holding your book close to your chest.
Joes POV
" Excuse me, I was wondering if you could help me with something."
Oh my god your voice sounds so angelic and I am so glad that you went up to me, not Ethan.
I turned around to find you right in front of me with one of your hands on the strap of your bag. You seem to have drifted off into another world. You've been staring at me for the past minute, I guess I'll have to snap you out of it.
Is that a blush I see?
"Hello?" I said, waving my hand in front of your face and trying to knock you out of your dream world. "Oh, sorry about that, I was just wondering if you could help me find something today." I laughed and asked you what you needed help with.
God, you're so adorable and you didn't have to apologize. To be honest you staring at me was like a compliment. I wouldn't mind if you would do it more often. You look so cute when you're embarrassed.
You told me about how you were having trouble finding a book that sparked your interest. I looked at you and knew exactly what book would fit you. I decided to go over to the (genre) section before picking up the book that I had in my mind. "I feel like this could be what you're looking for," I said as I handed you the book. From the way that you looked at the book, I knew that I made the right choice. You smiled and thanked me. I then decided to ring you up.
"Thank you so much.......Joe," you said, squinting at the name tag that was placed on the left side of my chest. "The pleasure was all mine....?" "Oh, it's (y/n)."
(Y/n). What a beautiful name. I can tell it suits you.
"A beautiful name for a beautiful girl," I said as you blushed at my comment.
You know the more you blush, the more adorable you look.
"Well, it was nice meeting you Joe." " As with you,( y/n)." You walked out of the shop with a jump in your step, holding the book close to your chest.
Don't worry (y/n), this won't be the last time you'll see me.
