chapter ②
"ᵃᵗ ʸᵒᵘʳ ˢᵉʳᵛⁱᶜᵉ"
---It was a dark night, and the rain was pouring down from the tip of my (h/c) hair. I didn't mind it as longest it didn't cover my sight.
My feet tapped on the streets and howled through Detroit. I was making my way to the police department as I swung around my tie. It was wet and messy, but it wouldn't help to fix it as it'd look like it does now soon after.
The streetlights looked blank and dead, as their cold LED light shined off the ground. The lights flickered, and I figured the area wasn't the cleanest of them all.
The clock hit 8 PM as the bottom of my shoes clicked on the DPD's entrance. I walked up to another Android sitting behind the reception. I waited in the line, and tapped my feet on the concrete floor.
As soon as the person before me left the line, I said to the Android before it could even ask me what I was looking for:
"I'm here to see Lieutenant Anderson.""Do you have authorization?" It smiled.
"Yes."I answered and connected my information to it's database.
"Lieutenant Anderson is currently avaiable, and he should be at reach." The Android spoke. I nodded and proceeded with my objective.
I had to scan a multiple faces before I recognised Lieutenant Anderson. He looked tired and unpleased with something. I walked straight to his desk, and fixed my tie.
He looked long at me, and I could tell he was confused. I introduced myself.
"Hello, my name is (Y/N). I'm the Android sent by CyberLife. I'm here to work as your assistant and bodyguard.""Fuck, they sent me another one?" The Lieutenant laughed. "They must be messing with me good this time. What do you want?" He turned back to serious and leaned into his chair.
"CyberLife sent me to assist investigators and consumably protect them from any threats. I am a prototype and unoffical design. There are several predecessors to replace possible interrupt-" I couldn't finish before he cut me off.
"So you're basically immortal." He chuckled.
"If you have any questions please contact your superior." I smiled.
"Oh I sure will. Jeffery has got some serious explaining to do." He got up from his chair and was about to leave when he noticed me following him.
"Uh, what are you doing?" He asked me.
"My instructions stipulate that I have to accompany you." I said, and tilted my head.
"God, you sound just like that other plastic asshole." He groaned, and soon looked like he was missing something. "Where even is he?" He continued.
"For fucks sake, why doesn't he ever do as he's told?" Hank mumbled almost yelled through the whole station.
"Who are you looking for? I can go look for him." I offered.
"Oh, Connor. Uh, I mean the other Android, RK800, um-" He mumbled and tried to explain what he meant before I cut him off.
"Got it." I tilted my head back and smiled.
"He's somewhere around here, I think." Lieutenant Anderson finished before sighing out and leaning towards a wall.
I tried to scan through the area, but I couldn't find any clues to the Android. I decided to walk around and look for it. I had never been to the department, but it soon got familiar as I scanned all new data to my program.
I walked around the cells and behind Captain Fowler's office until I found the break room. I though I had found the Android I was looking for, but all I could lay my eyes on was someone glaring me with a sarcastic smile.
I thought it'd be a great opportunity to gather information to help find the RK800 model. I walked into the break room, only to be instantly mocked.
"Would you look at that. We don't need any more plastic pricks around here, or did anybody tell you?" He said.
I scanned his face to be resulted with the name Gavin Reed. Apparently a detective on homicide.
"I'm looking for an Android model RK800, named Connor. Would you know where I could find it?" I said going straight to the point.
"That asshole left here to the bathroom just a second ago. If you're not as slow as you sound like you'll find him in the public bathroom." Detective Reed said.
I almost thought he wouldn't be helpful based on the way he was acting just a minute ago. I took the information anyway, and headed down the hallway. There was a door in the last corner of thr hallway, marked as the public bathroom.
I opened the door, and stepped in to be greeted with a male Android. There wasn't any information of it's appearance, as it happened to be a prototype. It was fixing it's tie which I did soon after as well.
"Connor, my name is (Y/N). I'm the Android sent by CyberLife." I said and tried to download any data of it.
It didn't say anything, just stared deep into my eyes. He had fluffy, deep brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. A pale skin, with a suit almost just like mine.
"At your service." I smiled.
