Salem's pov

I am walking through a forest when i hear a scream interested i head towards it and see some beowolves surrounding a small child i begin to leave knowing what will happen but to my surprise everything goes silent i turn back around and see all of the beowolves have been turned to stone surprised i take a closer look at tye girl and see she has silver eyes "interesting" i say catching the attention of the girl who looks at me and backs away in fear "there is no need to be afraid child" i say "you look like them are you going to eat me to" she says "do not compare me to these mindless creature's" i say almost offended "im sorry my mom tells me i shouldn't judge people by how they look" she says "oh and where is your mother" i ask "i don't know she went out on a mission with dad" the child says "your mother is a huntress" i ask "i don't know she says she fights monsters" the girl says "ok now how did you get out in the forest" i ask "i wanted to go on a walk but i saw some flowers and followed them until i got lost" she says getting sad at the thought "interesting now where did you learn to do this" i say pointing at the now grimm statues "i don't know how i did that i was just scared" she says "how old are you" i ask "i am four" she says "you talk quite well for a four year old" i say "mom teaches me a lot" she says "ok what is your name" i ask "im ruby what's your name" she asks "my name is salem" i say "can you help me get home" she asks "no i can't but if you would like i can take you back with me" i say "really" she asks "yes now come" i say turning and heading back to my palace with ruby following behind

I get back to my palace and get a confused look from tyrian and arthur "madam are you aware that there is a small child following you" arthur asks "yes her name is ruby i found her in the forest and she interests me so you shall treat her with respect" i say "yes ma'am" they both say and i sit down on my throne "who are they" ruby asks me "that is tyrian and that is arthur they work for me" i explain to her and she nods showing her understanding "now ruby have you ever wanted to learn how to fight" i ask her "yes i want to be like the people in the stories" she says excited "well then i may be able to help" i say

Time skip

It has been ten years since i found ruby after this time she has nearly forgotten her old family and treats me as if i am her birth mother i have been training her to fight since the day i found her and she has now surpassed all of my subordinates in skill even the new ones cinder and hazel much to my dismay though she has a bad habit of sneaking out and going to different cities like today where its very late and she still hasn't returned

Ruby's pov

I snuck out of the palace and headed to vale where i found a dust shop with some comics and i begin to read them while listening to music until someone taps my shoulder "what do you want" i ask turning to see a man in a suit "i said put your hands in the air" he says annoyed "loud" i say kicking him across the store attracting the attention of the rest of the goons who charge at me and i kick one of them through a window and follow after i turn back around and see a tall man with orange hair who i recognize as roman torchwick he works with cinder i can't kill him i think to myself "well get her" he says and some more goons charge me and i take them out easily "well red its been fun but im gonna have to go" he says throwing a smoke grenade and runs off when it explodes i decide not to follow because i can't kill him "thank you" the shopkeeper says "yeah whatever" i say walking off and after a minute or two i am stopped by a tall woman with blonde hair "i would like to have a word with you" she says angrily "well i wouldn't have a good day" i say beginning to walk again "its not just me" she says seriously "ugh fine" i say and she leads me to where the other person is

She sits me down at a desk "do you have any idea how dangerous that was" she asks "no what was dangerous" i ask "you fought with a group of dangerous criminals" she says "eh i coulda taken em" i say "you seem rather confident" a man says walking in the room handing me a plate of cookies wich i begin to eat "now what is your name" he asks "its ruby" i say "do you have a last name" he asks "no" i say "ok then ruby may i ask how you learned to fight like this" he says showing me a video of my fight "my mother taught me" i say "she taught you how to take down a group of criminals with your bare hands" he asks surprised "yes she did" i say "do you know who i am" he asks "yeah your ozpin headmaster of beacon" i say "professor ozpin and i have something to ask you" he says "shoot" i say "how would you like to attend my school" he asks "eh i guess it could be kinda fun" i say "well if you would you are welcome to" he says "are you sure" the woman asks him "yes i would like ruby to join my school" he says "well I'll think about it and get back to you" i say grabbing the cookies and leaving heading back to mother

"where have you been" mother asks me as soon as i get back "i am sorry mother i ran into someone i didn't expect and couldn't leave" i explain "and who did you run into" she asks "ozpin" i say and she growls at the name "you spoke to him" she asks "actually he invited me to attend beacon" i say "really he doesn't suspect anything does he" she asks "i do not believe so" i say "and would you like to go" she asks "i will do whatever you say" i tell her "well then i think you should go i would be beneficial for us to have someone on the inside" she says "understood i will get ready" i say "yes just make sure you stay safe" she says "i will there is no need to worry" i say "ok well I'll leave it to you to inform the rest of them" she says "ok i will" i say heading to the meeting room

I walk in and everyone tenses up seeing me "hello ruby" arthur says "hello i have an announcement to make" i say gathering everyone's attention "what is it" hazel asks "well i am attending beacon" i say "really you hardly need any training" cinder says "no but mother says it would be nice to have someone on the inside" i explain "that does make sense" arthur says "yes so i won't be around as much" i say "well make sure no one finds out your true identity or affiliation to us" arthur says "i won't it's not like anyone will know me when i get there" i say "still be careful" hazel says "i will" i say walking to get my stuff and heading out to vale
