new team

Ruby's pov

I wake up the next morning early as i am accustomed to doing but to my surprise someone else is also waking up a girl with red hair who i recognize as pyrrha nicos "good morning" she says to me "morning you wake up early" i say "i wake up early to train what about you" she asks "same would you like to train together" i ask "that sounds great do you know where the training room is" she asks "no but we could spar outside in the field" i say "sounds good to me" she says and we head off outside

"here seems fine" i say as we stand in a field "alright draw your weapon and lets go" she says "i don't have a weapon is it ok if i just fight with my hands" i ask "yes but that might be dangerous" she says "ill be fine" i say readying myself and she does the same quickly she charges me with her sword but i hit it to the side and kick her in the side sending her through the air she does a flip and lands on her feat rushing at me again this time with her shield i jump up and plant my feet on her shield pushing off of it sending us away from each other i flip back to my feet and when i land pyrrha is already on me bashing me with her shield making me stager back then she turns her sword into a spear and throwing it at me with incredible speed i move out of the way and catch it spinning around and sending it back at her right when i think its about to hit her she moves her hand and it changes direction landing in front of her i realize she used her semblance and decide to do the same speeding behind her and kicking her in the back she falls forward and rolls back to face me jumping back up and slashing at me with her sword i dodge out of the way using my semblance then i grab her sword punching her in the face making her let go of the sword i then hit her with the bunt of it knocking her to the ground holding the sword at her "i believe we have our winner" ozpin says seeming and we turn to see ozpin and a large group of students watching us in amazement i then help pyrrha up and give the sword back "you're really good" she says "so are you" i say "well if you two are done let us go" ozpin says "alright lets go" i say to pyrrha "yeah lets" she says and we follow the group "that was amazing" yang says to me "it wasn't that impressive I've fought stronger" i say "you know you're kinda scary" yang says "good" i say back

We eventually get to a cliff side with small platforms on each and we all step on one "there have been rumours  that you will be placed in teams well let me tell you they are true you will be launched from the cliff and the first person you make eye contact with after you land will be your partner for the rest of your time here at beacon" ozpin explains more but i stopped listening and vomit boy starts asking questions but as he is we are launched from the platforms

I land on the ground and begin to walk around until i hear footsteps i head towards them and see weiss "heya" i say to her and she turns around a smile going on her face "hello ruby" she says "i guess that makes us partners" i say "i guess it does now lets get that relic" weiss says "what relic" i ask "ere you not listening" weiss asks "no i wasn't i don't like ozpin very much" i say "why not" weiss asks "because my mother doesn't like him" i explain "huh well anyway lets go" she says walking off and i follow eventually we get to a small stone structure with chess pieces on it "lets take this one" i say grabbing a white night piece "yeah sure" weiss says and we walk back to the cliff

After we get back we are assigned teams my team is rwby with me weiss blake and yang the yang part im not to happy about we get to our dorm and everyone sets up their stuff but since there is so much we had to set up bunk beds then i get another call from mother "hello" i say "hello ruby hows everything going" mom asks "its going great i have my new team and i am leader" i explain "oh who are you're new teammates" she asks "weiss schnee blake beledona and yang xiao long" i list off "a schnee and a beledona on the same team interesting" mother says "i thought so to now is that all you wanted to ask" i say "no i need you to take care of something for me" mom says getting serious "what is it" i say matching her tone "well emerald has informed us that torchwick has been acting out of line i need you to remind him of his place" she says "what happened to cinder" i ask "she is away and won't be able to get there" she explains "understood I'll deal with it right away" i say "good and stay safe" she says "i will and I'll call you when its done" i say before hanging up "what was that about" yang asks "nothing you need to concern yourself with i just need to take care of something" i say walking out the room and heading to torchwicks location

I get to a warehouse overrun with white fang i sneak in and find torchwick talking to some multicolored girl i jump down next to them "holy shit red how did you find us" he asks readying his weapon the other girl doing the same "shut it roman" i say shocking him "how did you learn my name" he asks "i said shut it im here because you have been acting out of line" i say "you aren't my boss who are you telling me what i am doing" he says readying to attack me he swings and i grab his weapon kicking him in the face knocking him down "im here because cinder is away and i have been informed that you aren't doing as you're told" i say to him "you're another one of cinders kids" he asks "no i could easily kill cinder if i wanted im just doing as mother says" i explain looking over to the muti colored girl who seems confused "girl you should leave for a little while" i say to the girl who does as i say "now back to you" i say kicking torchwick again "you will do as you're told when you are told to do so until your mission is completed you work for us understood" i say "yes i understand" he says still hurt from the kicks "good now if i hear you manage to fail us again i won't hesitate to break every bone in your body one by one" i say stomping on him making him cough up some blood "and don't you dare tell anyone that you have seen me here" i say walking out the room "you can go back in" i say to the girl who clearly heard everything she nods and runs inside i then head back to beacon
