The next morning Clara woke up in the TARDIS, in her room. Her room was the same as before, but since The Doctor had made changes to the TARDIS decor during regeneration, just a couple things had been out of place or different. The colours of the walls changed from its original TARDIS blue to a deep shade of blood red and her bed was now on the other side of the room. There was two or three more framed pictures on her dresser than usual, all of her and The Doctor in past adventures. One was of their one month anniversary, they were kissing. Clara had insisted that they commemorated the moment with a picture she had taken with her phone. Somehow, The Doctor had gotten ahold of it and got the TARDIS to put it in her room. It made her happy but sad at the same time.
Clara woke up to the sound of the TARDIS flying through time and space. At the time, she didn't think much of it. Clara's hair was all frizzy and tangled from tossing and turning all night. Her floral pajamas hung loosely on her petite body. Instead of wearing the shirt that matched her floral pajama pants, she wore one of The Doctor's old button up shirts. It still smelled like him and it helped her sleep. Usually, she would sleep in his bed and cuddle him until the two of them both fell asleep. But at the moment, that wasn't something she was comfortable with.
Clara sleepily walked over to the bathroom and took a quick warm shower. After, she got dressed in a dark purple jumper with black skinny jeans and black combat boots. Her hair was naturally wavy, so she just blew dried it.
Suddenly there was a knock on her door. "Clara! Wake up!" The Doctor called outside her door. "Meet me in the console room in five!" Before The Doctor had the chance to walk back to the console room, Clara burst through the door and tackle hugged him. The two of them ended up the floor, Clara on top of him. "Oh my Gallifrey!" The Doctor exclaimed.
"Morning!" Clara said with a dimple-filled smile. "Sorry.." she giggled.
"It's okay.." The Doctor groaned and started getting off the floor, Clara standing up with him. "Why are you so excited this morning?"
Clara dusted herself off, "I dunno, just am." she grinned.
"Dork." The Doctor laughed and shyly took her hand, escorting her into the console room. "You feel up to an adventure today?"
"Really? Already? Of course I am!" Clara's excitement could not be contained. It was her first 'official' adventure with The Doctor since his regeneration. Maybe this adventure would help their relationship become normal again. "Where are we going? I mean--when are we going?" Clara let out a laugh.
The Doctor grinned, "Just look out the door." His arms crossed.
Clara rose her eyebrows in curiosity and slowly walked over to the door, stealing glances at The Doctor twice on her way over. Clara opened the door to find herself in a cold, snowy environment. "It's the mountains of Dunadre, much like the Earths North Pole. They have special snowy animals that Earth doesn't have. I thought we could go to a sorta petting zoo type of thing." The Doctor's Scottish accent rang in her ears. She'd definitely have to get used to that.
"Cute animals?"
"Absolutely adorable!" The Doctor exclaimed. "Not as adorable as you though." He whispered, barely audible.
"What was that?" Clara asked.
"Nothing." His eyes went wide. "So you might want to get a jacket, because it gets very very cold here, well, I suppose you can use one of my old ones." The Doctor suddenly took off and went below to console room, only to come back up with a tweed coat in hand. "Here, use this." It was worn from years of using and it smelled of The Doctor, old cologne and spice.
